I'm not sure there is a Putin 2.0 in Russia. If there was, they might have successfully dethroned Putin 1.0 by now. Putin has spent a good amount of time and effort eliminating anyone who'd be a strong political opponent and circle has dwindled to sycophants. 'Putin wannabe' is better for the West, imo, because 'wannabe' implies they lack Putin's calibre in the aspects of him they're trying to emulate.

Beyond belief!! and it's not as if they were unaware that Russia was fighting and illegal war, and even so still go there? Criminal behavior, at the very least, one of them should have gone solo for say a month or two to suss it out. Had that been done, there would have been a very quick change of destination, even before the first month was out!! If I was ever to go back there, (I have one or two invitations still) I would have a "ROOF". In Russian society, everyone has a "ROOF", translated it means that you are protected, (up to a point that is) you are staying with or know someone who has clout, or at the very least, knows the system and how to manage it. I feel really sorry for these people, it was extremely stupid what they did, and I hope that they will be able to, extricate themselves from it.

Just watched a YouTube video on this new Russian artillery system. Any military minded person know if this will be a massive improvement for Russia? Seems to be able to shoot up to 40km away or 80km with some ammunition and might be on the battlefield at some point this year.
That waterproof windbreaker might be more reliable than the new Russian artillery system. I'm only saying that because a great deal of the latest Russian military tech appears to have huge problems. The T-14 Armata is a disaster. The Terminator yokes have performed very poorly (when they showed up) the Russian body armour plate is failing to meet expectations, so called hyper sonic missiles are getting shot down, their much vaunted S-400 air defence does not appear up to the job, Latest Russian fighter craft are getting hit....I'd say it's just wait and see. Good on paper might not be good in practice.
