It looks correct, but HA couldn't see it. It's logs said started
All running on the same host? Have you exposed 502/tcp?
Why would you bother about the weather forecast ? Charge to 100% EVERY night, to maximize exporting

i charge as much as i can every night - but if the next day is going to be rubbish.. i can only get 10.8kwh into my battery in the 3 hour window so i'd come up a bit short.. its probably much of a muchness to be honest..
Why don't you take a different tack? If you know the capacity of your battery (let's say it's 14Kwh) and you know you can get 10.8Kwhr into it, why not set the "Reserve limit" to (14-10.8)/14*100 = 23% at midnight and then you dump whatever is there down to the reserve limit.
Then at 2am you charge up to 100% and reset the "reserve limit" back to 5% (or whatever you are using as your reserve limit)
You might have to play with the percentages a bit if it's not filling to 100% within the timeline you have, but this would allow you to dump whatever you have and keep enough so that you can fill back to 100%.

If you see a ribbon with Triggered across the top, or see the last triggered time resetting constantly, then you know it's running and working
Hi there
I recently got my Solar installed. All going well so far.
But I was hoping to add a 2nd CT Clamp and connect into the Zappi Eddi.
I already have the Zappi EV charger which shows as expected on the myenergi app but when i connect the new CT Clamp and configure it shows nothing on the app.
I am thinking this is down to incorrect placement of the CT clamp (see the red arrow in attached image for location) or the Cat 5e cable i used to extend it or something else.
Any advice? thanks

Do you have a zappi & an eddi?
Yes have both installed the Zappi was installed and can see the flow from Grid via the myenergi app.
Attached is the config of the CT. i also tried to configure CT 2 in case i got it wrong but neither show any throughput.
Am I right in saying your grid CT is connected to the zappi and the new solar CT is connected to the eddi ?
Your new CT should be set to solar PV (not gen & batt)
So is the solar PV icon now on the MyEnergi app screen ?
So to confirm, you have hardwired the Solar CT to the Zappi - CT1 port ?
yes the Grid CT is connected to Zappi and new solar is connected to Eddi. - is that something that can be done?
The CT options are Gen / Monitor / Gen & batt / Storage only / AC Battery

There is the extra Icon on the app now, when tapped it says This device has no settings
The Solar CT is going to the Eddi, while there is a CT from the Zappi EV to mains.

Gen&Battery is correct for Hybrid inverters, but it records no stats, as it is likely showing power originating from it into the evening, and if you grid charge the battery, the power in the opposite direction.
Generation is for pure PV string inverters

I have just powered down to look at the location of the CT clamp and include a photo. does the location look right?
the Live is a thin brown cable so this may be wrong
Err.. no... that's not right at all.
Firstly the brown wire was crimped between the box and lid the insulation may be damaged, secondly the brown wire looks completely undersized for any current beyond ~10A... and biggest issue of all is that the wire appears to loop from the top of the hager breaker and back into the same point... so the CT isn't on a current-carrying wire at all. I can't even see where that hager is even wired into an actual circuit... so if it's not on a current-carrying wire - it's not going to work.
6amp MCB.. possibly power for the meter(s)?
The isolator would be a good spot for it
There is a live under the isolator - is that what you mean?

Maybe, but that box doesn't see much if any current, so the CT needs to be elsewhere. It needs to be on the AC feed to/from the inverter. Follow the path of the blue/white wire or the brown/white wires that come from the bottom of the meter - one of them is in the correct position near the inverter and the other is (probably) at the CU board. It's the inverter location that you need. Only put the CT over/around the live in the same way as any existing CT is installed - do not do the same small-wire loopy-thing that you did in the power meter box.
Needs to be on the Brown wire passing through the Hagar breaker
Hagar breaker is a red herring, its only 6 amp, its not powering the inverter.

The very beginning 🤣 I have a windows laptop that I can install it on.
A bit like solar, Home Assistant gets addictive. So on that basis, I'd try to avoid installing on a Windows laptop at all costs. It will only break your heart.
Get yourself a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 or go for a Dell/Lenovo/HP micro desktop from adverts and install HA there.
If you're stuck make me an offer on my renewable for sale advert and I'll pre-install HA for you too 😜
