Old thread seems to be permanently locked. It will be interesting if anything can come of this at last.
Threadbanned Posters:
-Someone familiar with the area
-Someone who knew of Sophie and that she was at the house
All reasonable assumptions imo.
A possibility that she had told someone she was alone and killer knew this
Thank you,
have you got any statements from Alfie Lyon’s or Leo Bolger or Finbarr Hellen by any chance
A morning killing imo rules out the Ian Bailey theory
The lights out is a strange one ,.seems to indicate daytime . Still possible she went to door without turning them on ?.
What's the theory on the blood on the door handle
I'm nearly sure I've read conflicting accounts that it was Sophie's or the sample was too small to be tested
People that knew she was alone;
Ungerers, Hellens, Alfie? The publican where she had tea on Sun (forget his name)…Sullivan-.everyone she knew in France.
The killer is someone who likely knew of her and was from the area
May or may not have known she was alone
It can well be someone unknown to us
And anyone they told or anyone else she told
I do.
Is it allowable to make these public
I wouldn't have thought so
and I think we can assume that she had at least one more at home during the evening as there was a glass with red wine dregs on the mantlepiece in her sitting room
This is a bit of a leap
there’s no indication how long the glass had been there
I checked again this morning.
I even logged in in Incognito mode on a browser so I was not caching anything.
Still no (Todd Umptious) in the name.
Sorry Bridget but this is not doing your credibility any favours.
I'll not waste my time on it anymore.
Considering Josie Hellen had cleaned up the house before Sophie arrived on Friday evening, that leaves Fri, Sat and Sun evenings.
There were 2 washed wine glasses by the sink, so not much of a leap to assume the third glass was from Sun evening.
However if it was only her stomach contents were tested it could be gone after a couple of hours. I imagine "system" would include blood though, maybe @bjsc would confirm?
Is this the first link that pops up on Google ?
All i see is her name( no tod umptious) when I click the link
I don't have a LinkedIn account
Has anybody else verified the proof of identity here ?
It's gone over my head the technical details but are you the only person here questioning her identity?
Hi Bridget,
Thanks for your posts. It's really great to have your expertise. My fear is that posters like the Reverend Father - who seem unable to understand LinkedIn - will end up exasperating you and you'll end up posting no more. That would be a real pity.
Fr Tod - please ask someone near you to explain to you how to look up LinkedIn profiles before posting further. It's as clear as day that Bridget has updated her profile and your inability (whether due to beING overly challenged ON how to use the web or otherwise) to acknowledge this is simply irritating.
sorry - I don't know how to edit posts
last line should have said "due to being overly challenged on how to use...."
Yes, I agree.
It is clear that Bridget is who she says she is are and that she has access to the Garda files that were released to Bailey at the time of the libel trials.
Thank you for sharing the content with us.
Please don't be put off by a small number of posters who would, perhaps, rather not have some light shone into some grey areas.
Right so the identity has in fact been confirmed apparently
I get the impression fr tod isn't happy to be proven wrong as he was in the sceptical camp
Bridget is indeed an excellent poster with new insights and information
Logged into linkedin myself, checked just now and it is exactly as in the screenshot posted complete with " Todd Umptious". Are you sure you are spelling her name correctly?

You admit that you don't even know how to edit posts yet you are calling me out on how to use LinkedIn?
It's not showing up for me, on any device I use LinkedIn in on, or even in a Google search that returns a LinkedIn page, either logged into LinkedIn or otherwise.
I take you point. However there were 2 washed glasses by the sink and her husband says that she was in the habit of having a glass of red wine in the evening. The glass on the mantle had red wine dregs in it.
Sign in , search Bridget Chappuis, "view full profile"
They may not have knoiwn she was there as she wasn't there often. The lights being on or off probably means nothing as they may have entered the house in order to check or clean up afterwards. Were there any fingerprints found or just sophie's? i.e. was there any evidence of a clean up?
Both blood and urine were tested with a negative result.
Do I care..........
But her car was parked in plain sight beside the house.
I checked linkedin earlier, and I also agree she is who she says she is. You'll have to take our word on this one Tod!
I forgot. Then again they may have only seen that when they arrived and it may have been dark..
Fr Tod,
I never edited posts before on Boards.ie
Just now, I spent a few seconds working out how this is done on Boards.ie - the typos in my first posts this morning are now sorted. See, we all can learn, pet!
On a serious note, at some stage you will have to admit that you've got this wrong and that Bridget is indeed Bridget. From reading your previous posts, I sense that you admitting that you've gotten something wrong will be even more challenging for you than viewing someone's updated profile on LinkedIn. Just my opinion!
It was apparent from the beginning that Bridget was authentic simply from reading her posts
It's possible a regular visitor, even someone who had visited on Saturday or Sunday, assumed it was ok to just carry on as if Sophie wasn't there.
Drove in through the common gate in the lane, left it open and parked up just past the pumphouse and opened the gate into Sophie's lawn.
The skid-marks on the drive appear to be take-off marks rather than stop marks, as if someone took off at speed up the lane to turn at the junction to Richardson's house.
All very good points.
