Bridget, please don't leave us, you'll have to forgive Father, he has Gerry O'Carroll syndrome.

And because it was repeatedly "asked" or more implicitly stated Bailey was the only likely suspect. Who else could it be...
You cant let that pass and then cry foul when people start assessing other suspects.
I've no issue with bjsc credibility
Everything posted suggests she's who she says
I dont believe that people on here are making the same mistake as AGS. People here are proposing options without accusing people directly. I was one-off the ones who suggested that the rubbish in the car should have been forensically examined and this was effectively laughed at. I also suggested that Alfie and Shirley should have been deemed suspects as should several other people. Alfie had both motive and opportunity so should possibly not have been dismissed as a suspect by AGS so readily.
As it stands, there is pretty much no actual evidence by anyone (and let's not go down rhe rabbithole of discussing Bailey's black humour, etc). Therefore, it is wrong for AGS to have zoned in on one particular suspect and repeatedly ask the DPP to prosecute him. Currently, anyone could have been the person to have brutally killed Sophie and to think otherwise is doing her a disservice.
I wonder who this can be? (answers on a postcard)
Shame they edited their first post as @bflat.
Alfi had motive to kill Sophie ?
What evidence is there for that
Or are you saying there was motive for a confrontation which subsequently escalated
Can I ask why you struggle so much with what I am saying.
Because all you are doing is posting text saying that it's actual statements from people involved.
How am I supposed to believe that?
It's an anonymous Internet forum, you could be anyone.
Here's an idea.
If you have any real sources for what you are posting why don't you show us something like a picture of an original document source or something
Yes
Everything I've read suggests she's genuinely who she claims to be
A little proof would help
Not that it's any of your business but as I have absolutely nothing to hide I will explain. I retired in November 2012 at the age of 57, after 28 years service, as a result of work related stress. I was a civilian staff member so unlike police officers who can retire after 30 years this early retirement meant that i took a considerably reduced pension.
So in order to be able to keep paying the bills I have, over the intervening years, had a number of different jobs. I think the "unemployed" tag relates back to the early days and to be honest I don't spend all my time updating my profile - I have better things to do.
Understand that there are some posters who are totally convinced that Bailey is gulity to the point that there is an emotional element to their position. To be fair, they may actually be right but there can be a reluctance to consider other possibilities and to dismiss anything that challenges that narrative.
Actually the postings of Bridget, if they are to be believed, help rule out possibilities that are not Bailey.
No wonder there are so many theories out there if people like you are willing to believe an anonymous Internet poster who has just arrived and claims to be quoting from official sources.
Think about it.
Well we should have an answer to the question of bgsc authenticity
No proof provided will put me firmly into the doubter camp
ATM I'm in the believer camp . Posts appear genuine
I am trying but it keeps saying Body is 1 character too short - any ideas?
The latter and it has been discussed several times on the thread. It is also far more plausible than the notion of a local drunk walking over in the off chance that a stranger will offer him sex
If you post an image or attachment you also need to provide some explanatory text like one sentence labelling or describing the image
You think she was a stranger
Lot of witnesses say otherwise
Anything that sheds light on the mystery is welcome as far as I'm concerned. Whichever way it tilts the scales.

Do they? If the cavity block wasnt wielded as a weapon then the claims that Alfie couldnt do it as too frail to lift it are out
In the Independent article the possibility of an early morning murder was discussed.
I havent seen a scenario with any credibility for that timeline where Bailey is the murderer.
If the gate was open for a vehicle then the Bailey taking a walk theory is out ... and the car Bailey had access to was forensically checked and nothing found.

Thank you. Sorted.
Hope this helps.
There you go.
I'm talking about the assertion that has been mentioned here many times that the Gardai allowed Shirley go to the dump with a car full of potential evidence.
That has been used many times in the narrative that Alfie is a better candidate than Bailey.
But it never happened if bjsc is to be believed.
How does the open gate rule out the Bailey taking a walk theory?
@bjsc Just put anyone on ignore thats causing you bother.
The time of death has been one of the most contentious parts of this case.
I think its accepted now the time of death was complete guesswork by the pathologist and gardai.
What in your view supports a morning time of death? It doesn't seem credible for example that Sophie would answer the door late at night without turning on lights. And the outside light from memory was always left on at night. Also can alcohol levels disperse in a deceased over a day or two, or how reliable would an alcohol reading be for example days after the crime?
The pathologist didn't guess at a time of death did he ?
She already spoke about the alcohol
It's one of a number of factors making a morning death a possibility she said
No proof of anything in reality otherwise time of death would have been narrowed down to morning which it wasn't
Was it asserted? I dont remember it being "asserted". It was queried for sure. The question still remains what happened the bags and how thoroughly they were checked. Also the wisdom of allowing Shirley to drive the car on through the crime scene.
The implications of the gate being wide open is discussed in last weekends Sunday independent article:
"And why was the gate open? Sophie’s friends say she was fanatical about keeping it closed to stop livestock straying. The police rely on the premise that Ian Bailey came on foot because of the sighting at Kealfadda Bridge. But if you are on foot why open the gate to its fullest extent and ensure that it stays that way? The fact that the gate was wide open and the presence of apparently fresh unexplained tyre marks in the grass verge above her head and clearly visible in the scene photos suggests to me that someone in a vehicle may have been around the little townland close to the time of Sophie’s death."
