Isn't the trump.org case due to be finalised today?
I think so, according to news reports
State Judge Arthur Engoron, who presided over the $370 million civil fraud case in New York against former President Donald Trump and his company, is expected to issue his verdict in the trial by the end of the week, a person with direct knowledge of the situation told NBC News.
“It is currently anticipated the Engoron decision will be released on Friday, barring unforeseen circumstances,” the person said Tuesday.

Trump facing a criminal trial on March 25 is significant. To understand, review the bidding. First, before Trump was President, he hid his payments (the hush money) to avoid a criminal indictment then. Second, he then became President, and said he couldn’t be indicted for his past crimes like the hush money while in office. Third, he then committed more serious crimes in office (the Mueller report lists 10), and he said he couldn’t be prosecuted for his crimes as a sitting President while in office. Fourth, he then got voted out of office, and so committed even more crimes to try to stay in office (the Jan. 6 charges, some of the most significant charges in the book), and said he couldn’t be prosecuted for them while he was still President. Fifth, b/c he couldn't be prosecuted, Congress impeached him and he said he couldn’t be impeached because the only remedy was to prosecute him after he leaves office, not to impeach him. Sixth, he then leaves office and he’s prosecuted (as per exactly what his lawyers said could happen to him), and he now says he can’t be prosecuted because he is absolutely immune from prosecution for acts while he was President. Seventh, for crimes he committed when he was NOT President (like the New York ones), he is now saying he can’t be prosecuted for those either, b/c he’s he’s a candidate for President again (as his lawyer argued in court today). And oh, eighth, he filed a brief in the US Supreme Court today saying because he was not impeached, he can't be convicted. What is this? What Constitution on earth would permit this?
Isn't Rudy Giuliani working out of his car these days?
Oh, that's cold... 10/10 5*
Feck betting on the presidency, it's time to invest in heinz sauces as I suspect a lot of usage in the next 24 hours
Alex Navalny , the leader of the "opposition" to Putin in Russia has died today having been "taken ill" in Prison.
The jailed Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has died in prison at the age of 47, Russia's Federal Penitentiary Service said on Friday.
Navalny reportedly felt unwell after a walk, fainted and died shortly afterwards, the prison service said in a statement.
"Medical workers from the institution immediately arrived and an emergency medical team was called," the statement said.
I wonder how the Putin apologists in the GOP will spin yet another of Putins opponents suddenly dying in less than normal circumstances.
Will Tucker post a video about it ??
Lets see how "strong" a leader Trump is !
Another failed effort to prove the election was rigged
The Hill is reporting that
Former President Trump and his legal team have decided against appealing a court’s decision that found he is not immune from civil lawsuits that blame him for the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, after they previously signaled he would file an appeal.
It will not allow me to post a link though.
But the decision from the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals did not totally slam the door on Trump attempting to prove that the event was official.
Under an agreement with the plaintiffs in those cases, Trump had a Thursday deadline to halt the effect of the appeals court decision by filing an appeal with the Supreme Court. None was filed as of Thursday evening, and his aides indicated none was expected.
But Trump’s allies say he is leaving the door open to reviving a challenge to the ruling later in the process. He could try another appeal after the next round of fact-finding is complete, and the trial judge issues another ruling on whether the cases can proceed.
Wonder if it's a play to avoid the SC from officially saying he doesn't have immunity if he knows they're likely to side against him. So this way he can keep claiming it publicly and kick appealing it to SCOTUS until later in the year where it may get too close to the election for cases to complete.
The families of those killed on January 6th should be front of the line to sue him in a civil court.
Nice pics
That's clearly the plan - He obviously got told that it wasn't looking good for him from SCOTUS so he holds off on it and just uses his normal delaying tactics to slow the case down as much as possible and then finally appeals to SCOTUS at a time when they will refuse to rule one way or the other because it's too close to the Election.
He knows he's losing every one of these cases so he'll do anything he can to slow down getting any kind of definitive ruling on any of them.
If SCOTUS ruled he didn't have immunity , the case would be over in a matter of weeks - He's already said he did it all and has never denied it , he just claimed that he was "allowed" to as President so once immunity it off the table it's open and shut.
Keep checking this thread to see how much he’s lost. 😞
Something I didn't realise is that he'll have to pay 9% interest on the fine from when the crimes were committed, which could lead to another $100m onto the final figure he owes
Any idea what time we're looking at?
...
$364m
Haaaaaaahaaaaaaahaaaaa$$$$$$$$haaaaa. Take that! Crooked Hilary? Officially Dodgy Donny!
Nice!
You gotta pay your bills.
