What is the most beautiful beaches in Kerry to swim and relax ?
Ballybunion has a mile of a beach down to the Golf club ,There is 5 miles of a beach stretching from, Banna to Ballyheigue .Take your pick ,All you need is the sunshine !!
This one!
Otherwise there's ocarrolls cove and there is also Derrynane strand. 3 gorgeous places.
So many to choose from.
Places like Inch or Rosbeigh are big and long but can be very exposed.
My recommendation is Dooks.
Not a good beach for swimming.
very dangerous currents.
Derrynane beach
Saw several people swimming there during the summer.
I took this picture in September. Much calmer sea than in the picture I included earlier.
Derrynane,
ballinaskelligs
white strand
kells
rossbeigh/glenbeigh
Wow looks so so Nice .
It must be safe so.
But its not, its a stretch of water that comes directly from the atlantic and subject to Some dangerous currents.
The beach long had a do not swim sign and to locals would never swim there.
Not far from there is a much safer beach, very gradual depth and safe for families, great for walks and highly recommended.

That's clogher beach and the dangerous currents/no swimming signs show it's not a swimming beach.
Have to agree, it's deadly . Lots of other nice beaches in the area. Wine strand, muirreach, ventry.
Took these at clogher last weekend
Ventry Beach... Go for a nice swim then some nice grub in Quinns
Absolutely. Clogher beach is treacherous and is not safe for even the strongest of swimmers. Same goes for Coomenole (Slea Head).
Inch, Ventry and Wine Strand on the south side of the Dingle Peninsula but the north side has Fermoyle, Stradbally, the Maharees, Castlegregory etc. Fantastic beaches.
Love Clogher and Coomenole, but definitely wouldn't swim in either! Beautiful beaches. I always loved Wine Strand in Ballydavid when I was growing up.
The fact that some people swim at Clogher Strand doesn’t prove that it’s not dangerous. Same goes for Coumenoole. The signs are there for a reason.
Ventry is lovely. Generally very calm, and safe to swim.
Is this not Clogher (Dunmore Head)? If so its definitely not for swimming, (if not apologies). I was there yesterday....beautiful for walks but its way too dangerous for swims.
just back home from a swim in Kells today, it was lovely, went on down to Cuas Crom in Cahirciveen afterwards for a walk around the headland. Nice day to be near water.
Found this photo of clogher beach last winter in my collection.
A great place to have a bubble bath 😁
The foam on the beach was chest deep.
A little gem on the Ring of Kerry
Derrynane?
Castlecove beach is one of the most beautiful and safe beaches in Kerry ,
the road to get there is a pos though but well worth the drive , Wine strand and Ventry are both great safe places for a swim
Wow Castlecove beach looks great what is the best way to to get there from Tralee ?
Straight out the n70
Silver Strand , in Castlecove
No locals swim there and they would consider it more dangerous than Coumenoole. The sand is also quite coarse and quite "boggy" in places. Beal ban is a lovely beach safe never crowded, nice sand, safe for swimming and nice for walking.
Is Beal Ban back near Wine strand? I remember going to Wine strand a lot as a kid.
Camp beach beats the lot of them imo.
Yes on the Bally Ferriter Side. You can walk to it from Wine Strand over the cliffs or across the rocks depending on the tide. There is another beach between that and wine strand.
