Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Foo Fighters ain't playing Ireland this year and putting them in Slane would be a sure fire way to not sell a load of tickets if they announced that now.
Yea they said the other day that AC/DC was in July (because the AC/DC forum had a list of leaked dates which said that) and edited their post accordingly when it was announced to be otherwise. Pretty sure they just monitor sites like this and post the info as their own
yeah the fact people willingly give money to this person is a bit worrying.
That is exactly what I have been saying bout that page since day one!
People are so gullible they will believe anything!
I have seen them edit or delete posts repeatedly when wrong as well!
It's the fake competitions as well getting peoples hopes up is truly horrible!
I really can't believe it myself and stunned the media haven't latched onto just what a lowlife that person is!!
It was posting this evening that pearl jam is €160 for general standing when the poster with €117 was already on here and on twitter
Well you've burst my bubble!!!
I reckon they'd sell out Slane no problem.
170 is gold circle as per their fan club
117 is general (plus fees)
There's no way Foo Fighters would sell out Slane in a month with loads of gigs in direct competition to it and Foo Fighters announced dead last. If they were playing they would've announced last June with the UK dates. They aren't doing a proper European tour this year (only festivals) so I imagine whenever that happens they'll fit Ireland in
Sure there were people on here months ago raving about that page having inside information!Absolute state of those posts!!
They only did about 60,000 out of 80,000 the last time they played.
with the June calendar as it is I wouldn’t exactly fancy them doing any better if they were to be announced
Yeah I know but they posted the wrong price after the poster was released with the from price. So basic stuff they are getting wrong
I'd be curious about the potential for any Slane gigs too. Maybe it's just a case of no artist big enough is touring this summer. Looking at least year the Harry Styles gig was announced in August so guess if any act was playing it might have been announced by now.
What is worrying is that nothing has been done about this persons fraudulent schemes.
Just like nothing is being done about all the scams and fraud on social media which have increased exponentially in the last few years.
Given their great reception in April 2022, would be great to see Nick Mason's SoS add a Dublin date at the front or back end of their upcoming UK tour.
As he's finally going back out on the road (and with the Horse again), must be a good chance that Neil Y will hit Europe and hopefully Dublin later in the year
Knew I'd seen someone ask. Snapped Ankles for you!
Magnetic Fields performing all 69 of their 69 Love Songs over two nights!
34 1/2 each night? 😆
Excellent, thank you. Go here to avoid TM: https://singularartists.ie/show/snapped-ankles-2/
Annoyingly, Theatre Of Hate are in the Workmans Cellar the same night.
Snapped Ankles.What a live band.
In Cork, lots of events announced for Patricks Day Festival, including Paul Noonan solo at Triskel, Eddi Reader at the Everyman, and Mundy plays Live at Saint Lukes, as do the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble
Hopefully ToH will do some more gigs, hardly worth the trip over for the Cellar gig. Chatted to Brandon after the Dead Men Walking gig in Galway last month. Great lad, mum from Roscommon, and maybe ToH are doing some of the venues that DMW played. Gap in their tour schedule anyway.
now the shock of the Pearl jam price has subsided, any advice on the logistics of Marlay Park? will be coming from Connolly so the private coach a good option from quay? any decent pubs near the venue to justify heading down earlier?
Have a look at Marathon Coaches, used them for Malahide and it was a great service
Went to Taylors which is a about 15 mins walk from Marlay Park entrance. They have decent food too
Eden House pub about 5/10 min walk from marlay park entrance is usually good craic, opens for a bit after the gigs as well
For added Irish interest, Glen Hansard is the main support act for the second leg of the US tour.
Loves his old mate Eddie he's does
Thankfully, not in Dublin !!
(although he might be reeled out for a 25min version of Hard Sun for an encore ... )
+1 for Marathon Coaches. Used them for Blur in Malahide too and they were excellent.
Riverside confirmed for May.
15/5 - LL1, Belfast
16/5 - Academy, Dublin
