Sure thats always a possibility, especially if he's pre-planned the attack. One thing that I am pretty sure about is that the EU, UK and the US have all war gamed this situation, and there are not just one, but multiple responses to this scenario. As well as taking out Moscow and St. Petersburg, you can be sure that the main military centers will be hit at the same time (or maybe even before Moscow and St Petersburg) Bottom line, the Russia that Putin knew will be gone. It will all have been for nothing.
Can anyone tell the difference between a nuked Chelyabinsk and a non-nuked Chelyabinsk?
mike johnsons cv, some salty language in it
The Rude Pundit: Speaker of the House Mike Johnson Hates Nearly All of Us
the buy european bit by the french is the reason europe cannot supply ukraine witj what it needs
he was supposed to go to kiev this month and sign a deal but has cancelled his trip
At this time of the year, the Nuked Chelyabinsk will have less snow around it.
And you can be 100% sure that Putin is fully aware of this as well...hence all the Medvedev Nuclear threatening. But no actual nuclear attacks...yet, and I don't think that there will be either. Putin is one sick individual, but he's not stupid.
A common theme lately are fires starting on the top levels of Russian buildings. When they do. Firefighters have no means to stop the fires.
He truly is up there as one of the most hate filled odious human beings in the US house and thats saying something given who is currently in the US house.
I think thats a nod to the US political establishment that they stand to lose juicy contracts if they suddenly decide to feck off.
Which they may well, who even knows with the u.s anymore.
Several explosions heard in Crimea as it is reported a russian ship(rumoured to be Caesar Kunikov) carrying ammo was blown up. Unconfirmed at time of writing however. A ship and a submarine can be seen heading to assist the stricken vessel.

One less rat ship.
A long way to go and I don't think anyone believes 2024 will see the job done (unlike the Crimean beach party predictions this time last year).
But another good hit this morning, they all count:
Destroy their navy, kill their oil refineries and then kill their middle class when they get sent to the front line. Then putin will be sent out the window.
The EU has similar "undemocratic" parts. The executive branch of EU is not proportional to population, instead each of 27 member states gets 1/27th of a say effectively, both in the commission and the EU council.
Only EU parliament is proportional to population of the EU.
Industrial avenue in Avdiivka has been cut by Russians, leaving the city split in 2.
The southern half only has 1 supply line across open fields within range of RU artillery, so hopefully they have already evacuated most of troops in that pocket.
Just to be clear;
(i) are you categorically stating that all Russian conscripts in Ukraine are rapists, kidnappers and murderers?
(ii) are you accusing me of sympathising with rapists, kidnappers and murderers?
You brought the discussion to this point, for whatever reason, so they're two straightforward questions. A yes or no should suffice.
The inability of people to have civil discussions on the internet is unbelievable really.
Russia is throwing everything at this to secure a win for the anniversary of the 'Special Operation' and an election campaign trail.
Looks like he will get his wish, but is absolutely decimating his own forces to do it.
All these sunk ships in the black sea will come back to hurt Russia if the Crimean bridge is put out of action again. They'd be used to transport logistics from Russia.
This took place off Yalta which is a lot further past where the last ship sunk. They must be getting worried about drones hitting the bridge at this stage too.
Smart tactics for sure from the Ukrainians, when the weather is crap, there's talk of weapons shortages, US funding delays... they switch to better risk/reward tactics. Couldn't really have done much more over the past few months.
I saw Ukraine sent in more elite troops there the other day so I say there giving the Russians hell but you don't want to end up loosing all your own elite troops in the process.
'The inability of people to have civil discussions on the internet is unbelievable really.'
Thanks for the coffee-snort.. :P
This be the ship
They won't have it by the 2 year mark - the combing operations alone required throughout the entire city area will take weeks and weeks - and that's if all Ukrainian soldiers left tomorrow.
Same conversations about Bakhmut.
I'd love Avdiivka to resist and stand, but it's the same thing with Bakhmut the previous year. Russia throws everything, excluding the kitchen sinks they stole at it, and eventually overwhelm the UAF positions with sheets numbers. And with the republicans In USA acting like cnuts, ammo shortage is a worrying thing.
Watching that, either weather conditions have deteriorated significantly or they're managing to hit ships much further out at sea. Kudos to the drone operators, keeping those little things heading in the right direction in those waves looks like no easy feat!
