Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Thast a scandalous price. I was expecting around 110 as relatively standard. They normally charge same through venue too
117.25 for GA
Still an insane price but seems good value by comparison.
That's a price you can justify. Classic case ofmget still apply for GC so don't miss out, but be happier without it.
Says they're using "all-in" pricing, so price you see is what you pay. Bit of a sop really
Edit: see it on poster
Waxahatchee - Vicar Street - 1st August, from €34.50:
So what’s the general consensus on getting thru the registration for Pearl Jam? Have registered for the 10c golden circle but can’t justify that price tag when GA will be 60 cheaper
If Taylor Swift, Coldplay and Olivia Rodrigo are anything to go by, it'll be an absolute nightmare with randomly allocated access to sales followed by a tortuous queue on the day.
Not concerned about being left with the gold circle tix at that price?
Can cancel the GC ticket request anytime before Friday but don’t want to then risk being locked out of TM sale.
The whole verified fan thing is a load of bollix.
Guess what, you dont even need to have an account to be successful in it.
Sneaker kids literally enter thousands of entries and sell the codes and accounts , thats how messed up things are now.
100%... For Taylor Swift, my wife (who purchased tickets to one event in the prior eight years) got a code. Me, who purchases 20+ tickets a year (including a Taylor Swift one from years ago)... No code. Utter bollocks.
And people shouldn't forget....the artists signed off on it.
I doubt there’ll be near as many trying for Pearl Jam as Taylor Swift or Coldplay, at the prices PJ are charging getting GA tickets would be easy I’d imagine
I agree with you 100% on demand but people will be signing up with multiple accounts so instead of having say 150,000 trying for tickets on the day, you could have 500,000+ accounts trying in a ballot. At least when it's a straightforward sale, you have people trying for tickets for the show they want - with a presale, people are signing up for gigs with multiple addresses all over Europe when they might have no real interest in attending that show (unless all the shows they want to attend are sold out) . So demand might be lower but the system still horrendously skews it and gatekeeps access.
Only find out for GA sale the day before though. I'm having same problem as yourself on it.
Are AIB likely to decline the payment?
Accounts aren’t just done by email, it’s phone number too. I’m sure there’ll be people registering multiple times, via different family members or otherwise, but enough to have a waitlist in Dublin seems a big ask. Why not just stick them in the Aviva if they could do that. Then again maybe I’m just underestimating how big PJ are
No.
Great to see Murder Capital supporting PJ on all the UK and EU gigs.
They have the stage built for green day/longitude. They aren’t going to put them in Aviva. Also the aviva has five shows as is including 3 nights of Taylor the week after. They will be probably be building Taylor Swift stage during pearl jam show.
i don’t think getting tickets for Dublin will be that difficult especially at those prices
They were on the same bill in Hyde Park. Maybe they impressed that day!
I meant that the registration for the Ireland show is ridiculous, rather than that they should be in the Aviva.
Anyone hear anything about Beyoncé at Aviva? Fan sites running with June 10th. I’m thinking fake because Taylor and Pink have 5 shows there in the same month and a Monday?
doing it for the whole tour, they were hardly going to randomly exclude Dublin from the convoluted process as much as it might not be needed.
The UK and Europe are very much in the same boat with regards to registering for the sale, even if some of their dates are more likely to have a waitlist. Just rubbish seeing PJ of all bands endorse this rubbish. Foo Fighters managed their dates no problem without it. If Coldplay didn't need it there's no way PJ did.
Any word on a Slane gig this year? I'm thinking Foos. Last US gig is in May. UK leg starts on June 13. So that would leave June 9th as an option for Slane.....
But not usually with with irrelevant ****!
Have read a few places that she's playing June 10th and 11th in the Aviva. Weekday gigs there wouldn't be unusual? Saw Madonna there on a random (and very wet) Tuesday.
That "insider" insta account is running a competition for tickets already.
Who knows!
You mean that page that openly fools/scams people into signing up for subscriptions and has never once honoured any of the prizes for the competitions on their page??
Who changed the original account name to what it is now as they ripped off alot of people???
An absolute scammer of the highest order!!!
