I was reading an article recently on Sam Altman, he who is driving IT with a 7 trillion capital raise.
He mentions his 400 million bunker he is building.
Other tech billionaires seemingly doing similar?
Should use mere peons be worried?
If it comes to it you just "relieve them" of their bunkers.
If I was a billionaire I would build a cool bunker, just because I could.
I'd also build secret tunnels in my mansion, hidden behind bookshelves.

Figured one or two of them would get bored and leave. You then set upon them. Dressing up like lord Humungus is optional.
I think it is a fair and adequate question. Anyone putting this down to , sure they're spending money cos they have it is not really thinking about what these people are working on.
They are attempting to improve margins of nearly every single business that exists by removing the labour costs associated with them. Removing down time, sleep, having any business operate 24/7 365. In their eyes 'improve efficiencies'. In reality put millions upon millions out of work.
Work of all types, from traditional sales people to administration, payroll individuals, legal secretaries, we even have manual labour robots and Boston scientific showing off robots this week that look like they're loading car suspension into boxes but everything is shaped like military grade rocket loading systems.
There's a huge shift in labour coming, there goal is to make those at the top more money reduce costs jump margins and thus drive share prices and dividends. It's not to advance mankind. Even fewer people having money and the rest of us to the wind. Less healthcare less food less jobs lower mortality.
See what's coming it's not that far fetched or far aware as people shrug off. The acceleration of this technology is absolutely lightening speed now. They're building bunkers for the French revolution that may come out or worse.

Without sounding too tin foily, have hear the phrase Neo-feudalism thrown around. Hard to disagree at times. The bunkers are one way, the other was up into space. Like that Elysium film from a few years back.
If an Armageddon type situation happens that requires billionaires to use their bunkers, then they cease to be billionaires.
It's within their interest to keep our current system running so their hoards of cash actually means something.
It's certainly not too tin foil hat to consider the real and present threat to livelihoods. These are serious issues. It's why the EU has taken some serious stances on AI technology. But it needs to be wider.
Yeah sure stump the progress in the EU and USA, let them chinese develop it, what could go wrong.
The Chinese removing their workers from the equation should be up to the Chinese. The US and EU making 60 percent of their population on the dole over a few years is beyond comprehension why anyone would think that benefits them.
Notice the only people who are lauding this technology is the owners of it.. those that are involved in implementing it .. and wall street.
There's red flags there, people aren't comprehending what's coming at all. Most fairly ignorant of the pace of this stuff right now. It's a fun image editor or a fake video. That's just the happy face of a lethal labour killing machine
