Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
didnt they play that a few years back too ?
2022
Any whispers about the AC/DC tour coming to Dublin other than the stuff we had before christmas ?
2022 latest and also 2010
Croke park august 16,17 or 18 as permission grant for one of those days.
Announcement tomorrow apparently for their tour.
Surprised none of the newspapers got wind of the date given the tour is announced tomorrow
Maybe the dcc website is too difficult for them to find https://www.dublincity.ie/residential/planning/active-land-management/current-outdoor-event-licence-applications
Joe.ie are going to have a great week
'Huge Rock Band playing Dublin' etc
Hoping it's the 16th as got a reasonable priced hotel for that night (unless they cancel the booking like was it Taylor Swift that people had their bookings cancelled and prices more than doubled). 🙏
I've been monitoring hotel prices around Croke Park for those nights and there was a sizeable jump in prices last night versus this morning.
The Night before could be a good buzz too if the shows the 17th
Would say MCD would have pushed for the Saturday 17th as easier sell for people travelling up the country for it.
I’d assume so closer to the date. Good line up.
So if you really want GC for Pearl Jam can you just join the fan club now or do you have to have been a member for a certain period of time? And is it usually one ticket per member or could you get 2?
A lot of acts playing CQAF in Belfast in May are Dublin-bound also, with the notable exception of Snapped Ankles. https://cqaf.com/
@Fanirish, or anyone else, have any info on whether Snapped Ankles will be heading Southwards? Covid put paid to their last scheduled gig in the Workmans.
Same cancellation with the Róísín Dubh on that tour. Caught them at Pohoda in 2019 and they were superb. They’ve not got any bigger since then (or have they?) so surely a chance of them doing similar Irish venues unless they call it a day.
.
Joining today should allow you get into the lottery alright. As venue is all standing I don't think there'll be an issue getting tix, and dont. Can normally get a pair when applying through that way, possibly only able to get 2. It's just unknown if GC will be 10c only
"Big Gig" announcement on Today Fm at 8am for Croke Park ?!???
Smells like AC/DC
AC/DC on 17th August at Croke Park

Oh man thats a beautiful way to spend a summers evening.
Another quality booking for Galway airport
May ditch ACDC for this
How will people decide
The Chameleons playing Opium on December 9th
Licence was for one night only in croke park am I right? I am trying to see if I can fly home for 17th so no chance of a second night?
No they won't be playing back to back gigs.
Zero. They're too old to be able for consecutive nights.
Yeah just looking at how spread out the dates are. Argh this is just my luck
