What Trump says doesn't really matter. He says so much mad, outrageous stuff that no one thing has much negative impact. Meghan Mccain definitely won't be voting for Trump, but I doubt the jabs at at her dad will make much of a difference for anyone else at this stage.
Her backchat will ring hollow when she has to bow down, kiss the ring, smile, clap and basically pretend she in any way believes Trump to be the best choice on offer.
Trump keeps pushing the rhetoric and without correction or criticism from the GOP, like a spoiled child, he will keep going and getting worse.
In addition to this deranged language, he is once again openly courting Russia, asking them to help him win again, by spelling out how, if he gets in, they can do what the hell they want (see post above).

Oh yeah even by Trump's standards it's an outrageous thing to say WRT NATO and American foreign policy. Effectively admitting he'd wave on a Russian invasion of "one of the big countries " in NATO is leagues beyond his usual rhetoric about that 2% spend he's obsessed about. And wrap that up with blatant language of extortion and it's heady stuff. We're far removed from Teddy's talk of Soft Power via speaking softly. Now it's just the dialogue of a bad mobster film.
