Aldi had 1kg for 99c last week. Sugar doesn't expire!
Same in mine out in Phibsboro. Still a heap of the Diet Cokes left.
Sorry, have I went to sleep and woke in the Twilight Zone. I'm in shock at the puce increase and a reduction in cans to 18 from 20. The new price is also excluding the deposit return scheme. This is the ultimate price gouge and has not a patch on the punt to euro scam that pushed prices up.
So in line with the bargain alerts, please hoover up whatever you can of your fav slabs before they all go. I got x4 20 packs for a tenner each last week, I should have got a multiple of that.
Tesco Rathfarnham had good stock of 2L , minerals for €1 and 24,ok diet coke €8 circa 4pm today
If anyone is out of luck in Tesco, Dunnes has 2l Pepsi, 7Up, Cidona & Club bottles @ €1.57 until next Tuesday. No deposit yet either. Using a voucher that wouldn't be far off the €1 mark.
Anyone aware of Coca Cola plans to reduce can size from 330ml to 320ml in Ireland.Already happening in some regions.
They've been 320ml in many asian countries for years. Certainly singapore and indonesia had 320ml 15 years ago when I was there as I remember we remarked on the size difference. But as they also use fluid oz, it was an even 11 fl oz printed on the can.
In the USA they are 355ml. 12 fl oz. In Australia they are 375ml. Different sizes different markets.
€3.15 seems to be Tesco's bottom line for most soft drinks. Sad times, its no longer affordable I feel!
No idea how they made the leap from €2/2.50 to €3.15 with the inclusion of the €0.25 deposit.
Large milk tray €5 last night. Handy for valentines, down from €13.
they're taking advantage of this bottle scheme recycling frenzy and hype
1 litre sparkling apple and elder, and the lemon and lime, took a massive leap from 30 cent (price their site claims it is) to 94 cent in person including the deposit. its more than triple the price, or double if you dont include the deposit.
The 30c price was just to dump the old stock, not the original price of the water. They must have sold all the old stock so now are charging the normal price + the new return fee.
yeah most likely but its still a piss-take, and clickbait to get people in the door. actually it was 55cent or 65 cent around december, so they're using this scheme to add more increases to the price of items, and then slapping the deposit ontop.
i've seen this with other items. some other drink thats normally x2 for 4 euro, they there x2 for 4.50 + 50cent deposit, so that = €5 total!
if you exclude the deposit, thats still an extra 50cent ontop of something that used to cost x2 for €4
Tell me about it!
Off topic
The price of coke cans has gone crazy.
Coca cola and Tesco seem to be screwing the customer with the multi pack price increase and reduction in number of cans.
I notice they have "reduced" the price a little. It is still too expensive
On a separate note
"Medium" easter eggs are €1 with a clubcard
Various Cadbury and Nestle
it may say medium but fmd they are tiny
They are what used to be small! But approx 100g of chocolate for 1 euro isn't bad these days
one could say they are pound shop eggs lol
Taco shells. If you buy the Tesco brand kit, it's €1.65, but if you buy just the shells, they are about €2.30.
just price gouging enabled by the government. not surprising in the least
Loads of pain in the hole delays at the tills this week with people having x off y vouchers but it not going through as the bottle/can deposits are not counting towards the total, Tesco will need to get new scanner guns to list actual spend-deposit amount and separately total amount.
I’m all for recycling but I do it all at the recycling centre, I squash the cans and bottles as much easier to store. Obviously not going to do that now so easier to just get all mt cans up North now and continue what I was doing. A disaster of a system where they take cash off you at onset but give you a voucher when returning. Stupidly
I'm told they're selling off multipacks of bottles of still water in Wexford Tesco, wondering if anyone's spotted any where they're selling off the sparkling ones?
2l bottles of Tesco sparkling water are 30c each in one of my local stores in Tralee.
Was heaps in Liffey valley the other day
Tesco Douglas Cork 2L Diet Coke €1
Loads of sparkiing in Tesco Celbridge just now - they were not with the bottled drinks though so, in your local stores maybe ask or keep your eyes open as you go round. They were 30c per bottle.
Some Asian countries only this year for 320ml. Singapore is an exception to everything that occurs in Asia. Have you seen 600ml?
One day I'm going to click into this thread and see an actual bargain 🙄
Cadbury Milk Tray Chocolate Gift Box 530g
Weetabix Cereal 72 Pack
