Targeting Russian oil is good, but any clip entitled End of the Putin regime can be safely ignored. Have been hearing it for 18 months now, it's just wishful thinking. The piece of scum is not going anywhere fast
They would buy them second hand at a bargain rate, the operating system would be Windows 10 based. After constantly locking on to eagles and swans, it would be quietly switched off and moved to a storage space.
Pretty good system if it has the resolution to lock onto eagles and swans, regardless of the OS system in use
I generally agree with this, but it's clear the |RTE reporter didn't watch or understand much of what they watched. some of the Putin statements were trumpesque... and carlson didn't challenge anything.
Because society, thankfully, has evolved over the past few hundred years of 'norm' that you refer to. Waging of war relies on people of your mindset. Dogmatic focus on males fighting. It's nauseating, to be perfectly honest, as are references to 'we've all made sacrifices'. Screw that. I wasn't put on this planet to be turned into fertilizer just to satisfy the whim of internet experts and power-hungry autocrats.
We have some monster swans in this country.
which is a biological target... regardless of size... the technology and processing required to track small biological targets is immense (the Giraffe's new SW update gave it the ability to at short range).
normal L band radars used for long range detection, might, pick up a big flock of birds at short range..... but, windfarms cause a ridiculous amount of clutter regardless of distance.
And etc...
So if Ireland was invaded tomorrow and we had a foreign army on our roads, going around slaughtering & raping men, women and children. Are you saying as an Irish citizen and a male (and we'll assume you are for a moment) that you wouldn't do your best to protect the women & children of this state, your own neighbours? That you'd hide away, run away, put your hands over your eyes and ears and hear nothing? If so, you disgust me.
So that's where he got the idea to invade Ukraine
Interesting as regards the windfarms, certainly didn't know that. Everyday is a school day...
Nothing to see here
Ouch .. truth hurts perhaps
there's various methods of mitigation, which all have pro's and con's... usual ones are:
-tilt the beam higher so it doesn't illuminate the farms
pros - quick, easy
cons-vastly reduces low level detection (planes just fly under the beam), as it's pointing higher, long range detection is reduced, due to the curvature of the earth
-software processing mitigation
pros - farms can be built, no change to physical infrastructure
cons - bespoke expensive software builds to be bought and maintained, resolution reduced, detection capability reduced
-buy an infill radar somewhere not pointing at the windfarm
pros - cost usually offloaded to wind farm developer, farm can go ahead, minimal impact to coverage
cons- for Ireland's case, numerous infills would be required if land based (cost befit issue?) best options would need to be out at sea, integration and support to existing infrastructure, in service support usually offloaded to user (i.e. a more costly in service run for the DF).
The full Carlson Putin interview .. enjoy :D
Carlson prefaces the interview vid with initial thoughts on putins long reply to the initial Q - Why he attacked Ukraine
That clip alone proves Putin is a fan of Hitler and what he achieved. Why would he bring up that about Hitler bar to have comparison between himself and crossing into Ukraine and to intimidate the Polish government of today.
Everyone says Putin is obsessed with history and how he sees himself as to emulate past dictators and conquerers. It's long past time the Russian people hung his body from a lamp post and save themselves the rantings and ravings and orders of a madman obsessed with Hitler, Nazism and using the Russian population as shell fodder for his grand plan.
Just realised I haven't thought of the word chickenhawk since the Bush administration
You've been banging the drum (in one way or another) about "the duty" of men of Ukraine living in Ireland on thread for a very long time. Can you not just give it a rest for a bit? (please!? lol)...it is done to death.
IMO it is not Ireland's job to act as Ukraine's recruiting sargeant, or try and enforce their laws on this issue on their citizens who we've allowed in.
I mean, if say the EU was attacked by Russia (and some EU member countries were doing conscription to defend) you might have some argument then as regards their citizens living here, but in general countries do not enforce this kind of law on people on behalf of 3rd countries. Would be pretty exceptional.
I can't think of an example of it. So, going on about it is just a thin excuse to have a pop at Ukrainian refugees.
the replies underneath are a real eye-opener of the uneducated MAGA fanatics.
Not alone all the above but throw in the fact that the Russians had an agreement to divide Poland in two and ravage their half of it. When it was invaded and then near the end of the war stalled outside Warsaw and let the Germans butcher the uprising
Interesting, the out at sea option would be bolted to something like an oil rig? Think something similar was used during the Iran-Iraq war, a more contemporary example would be structures in the Black sea.
Carlson with his constant “I just sh1t my pants” look on his face.
No this issue is not about refugees or immigration per se. There are many people on this thread 'cheering on' Ukraine and no doubt looking on with satisfaction at videos of Russian soldiers dead on the battlefields and large explosions etc etc.
There is a gap between that voyeurism and rhetoric and the harsh reality that the Ukraine needs men & women of service age to enlist and do their bit. That is the reality of this war and every war. It's easy to waft that away but no war was ever won on the basis of wishful thinking.
And no, I'm not about to head off to Ukraine to do my bit. It's not our war, yet anyway. But if I was required by the Irish state in this situation to volunteer, I would do so, just like my ancestors who listened to Redmonds call and headed to the Western Front.
Legally the Irish government cannot extradite them. The ones that wanted to return to fight have returned. Can you please drop it now.
It's entirely relevant to the thread. And I have little doubt but that this thread is read by some of those who have a duty. If that makes them uncomfortable, well so be it.
Yes.
