Twitter seems to be having a bit of a meltdown about this today with all sorts of crazy rumours going around.

The leg shaking has become a common sight in his videos along with holding on an edge of a table/desk to steady himself while sitting to one side, looks like some kind of neurological disorder
What a horrendous interview, the only consolation is we can all switch it off, Tucker had to actually sit through the whole thing.
Two vile men, not much more to say
Carlson had the opportunity to go into the initial invasion after he did his 50 minute history lecture. The disaster of the invasion, the 40km convoy, the Bucha war crimes, Mariupol Theatre, the withdrawal in the north west etc but didn't. There was nothing about the Prigozhin coup/assassination either. Ultimately it was a failure and he failed.
PS: You can't question Putin's health after that. The stories of his health over the years were fabricated.
Nothing new here. Exactly as was expected. A platform for a dictator to air his grievances in the comfort of an interview where he knows he will get no questions of any real importance.
Tucker tactfully didn't mention Trump by name or any preference of US president from Putin's point of view, but the conversation did touch on the notion that the current US administration are milking the US taxpayer dry to fund yet another unwinnable war and if that admin was out of the picture, Putin would indeed be able to come to some agreement with America on a deal in Ukraine.
Yet more pressure piled on Biden's foreign policy and yet more reasons for voters to vote him out. Mission accomplished from Tucker & Putin's perspective.
So, either it was the real Putin, or one of his doubles has made playing the role into an academy award winning performance...
Yes definitely looks that way....
Complete silence from the people saying that the interview was gonna be really important.... He just reiterated propaganda and ended up not challenging Putin to any degree. So guess it turned out as most expected.
Nothing new here. Exactly as was expected.
I wouldn't say exactly that. I would have expected him to drive harder on the NATO expansion angle to get certain Western recalcitrants support. Getting into a 30 minute monologue on (fairly distorted) Russian history in order to de-legitimise Ukrainian existence somewhat drives a knife through the heart of that oft-repeated trope about the cause of the war.
It's anything but.
Who the **** wants to sit down and watch Putin give us a 50-minute lecture on the history of Russia, century by century?
No one is going to change their mind about Ukraine over that!
Those who are already in the 'de-fund Ukraine' camp are already brainwashed anyway.
Tucker is damaged goods though, and any association with him and Trump is going to be used.
You think people who want to defund a war are brainwashed? War is madness, and it's victims are always ordinary people, young men and women who end up exposed to death and horrific events they will have to carry for the rest of their lives.
You might make an argument that those people are naive, but you called them brainwashed and as such is a little more reflective on your ability to think for yourself.
What I found strange from this conflict is that immediately this seemed like the start of an endless war....it seemed, no major politician wanted peace or a ceasefire...it was a little bizarre. It's still bizarre, this war and ensuing impact on energy prices and inflation are affecting us all negatively on a day to day basis ...the only thing we can all agree on is that the first casualty of war, is truth!
lol called it.

What do you think peace or a cease fire looks like to Putin? He’s not going to back down and lose face.
Peace would be Russia exiting the region and facing fiscal consequences at the very least for the invasion. Also facing prosecution for war crimes and genocide.
Stopping support of Ukraine is effectively handing the territory over to Russia and leaving them off with genocide. Ukraine were never the aggressors in this war, support amounts to letting them defend their sovereignty.
Also most of the defund Ukraine types on this thread have generally been buying into Russian propaganda so I wouldn't say it has a whole lot to do with wanting peace.
Sounds like you’re trying to pro-long a war to me, are you in the pocket of the military industrial complex?
What Russian Propaganda? Who has access to Russian news here? That is the first time we have seen Putin talk in years.
You know it's possible to have disdain for Putin and for war right!
Ya, that isn't going to convince tax payers all over the world who are funding this war I'm afraid. Tax payers who have every right to hold a view on this war that mightn't align with your view!! We don't live in Russia after all right?
Just because we don't have Russian news sites active in Europe, does not mean we haven't had conspiracy theorists pushing Russian talking points. Examples include that no genocide has occurred in Ukraine, bioweapons labs being used as a justification for an invasion even though no such labs existed. Then there was the denazification narrative that has been pushed in other threads in the early stages of the war.
The misinformation war has been well documented and Putin's justifications for the invasion have never been a secret in any way. Also worth noting that they started being pushed months before the invasion.
Out of interest, would you agree Russia has committed acts of genocide during this war?
Which is why I don't trust any news source, including those you have linked...and besides, the cost of funding a war that has no end in sight isn't exactly sustainable...
All I know is there are two major conflicts ongoing right now, and the accepted view is demanding a ceasefire in one and supporting war in the other, a person has every right to question the logic or reasoning of the accepted view...we are after all allowed to hold different views on serious topics, I would have thought!
You think Russia will invade Ireland, right, this is where I bow out!!
Right so... Don't believe any news sources. Anyway, giving up territory to a guy with this viewpoint on WW2 isn't troubling at all. He'll definitely never do it again...
Yes, war is madness, so one has to point the finger at Russia, for invading Ukraine in the first place.
The war itself is at a stalemate for various reasons, but the Russians could just **** off back to its borders and the whole thing would be done tomorrow.
I'll say it again, those who want to defund Ukraine are brainwashed fools. They want Ukraine to surrender and be enslaved by a dictator who sees himself in the same light as the Tzars of the past. He wants to re-create the Russian empire, his words, not mine. That is what de-funding means in reality.
He's regularly seen discussing Ukraine and elsewhere, it's not as if he's locked away in some bunker somewhere
Ya I'm not getting that point, everything he says tends to get reported to some degree. Missing out on the Russia today report doesn't have any impact on available information or propaganda for that matter. 😂
Oddly enough, posters raising these points never seem to wish to address the genocide aspect.

Interesting what Putin said about the origins of the word Ukraine / Ukrainian at 7:35.
It meant that the person was living on the outskirts of the state, along the fringes.
And/or that the person was engaged in a border patrol service.
