Jesus you wouldn't want to be claustrophobic sleeping with your face against the roof!
Who’s going to call and ask the price? 🤓
I'm fairly confident that was on here not too long ago. Same reaction from most people, Air BnB rather than live in it.
I may be thinking of a different programme - it definitely wasn't Home of the Year anyway - the house I'm thinking of was gorgeous but a lot more isolated than the one by the Bulman..... it belonged to someone famous(ish?) and was reluctantly being sold after a lifetime in it I think (I really need to concentrate more when I watch telly!!)
Selling Irish luxury real estate or selling Irish dream homes I think ....or something along those lines
A bed settee or futon would be a much better option or even one of the pull down beds....yeah a pain in the hole having to pack it away each morning.....though if it's freezing, staying in bed might be a viable option 😂
However no way would I be sleeping on that shelf!
That house in kinsale has been on sale for yonks now
That's the one I was thinking of! I have no idea what telly programme it was on, but I definitely watched it rather than read about it.
I finally got to it via another one that was on Home of the Year that was also fabulous
Kinsale is definitely the pot of gold at the end of the property rainbow!
I really don't know what to say about this....
But a chanel toilet seat is just tacky.
1950’s modernist time capsule in Chelsea. Yours for £8m.
It’ll most likely be knocked and apartments put in its place. Don’t mind that when it’s a kip but this place looks perfect. Doubt you’d even get a fecking Dacia Sandero into one of those garages these days though.
The wooden shack has amazing views, but that's about all, and even the views are not shown to best advantage. It really is cobbled together. No way I would sleep on the shelf - especially the one above the stove, though I'm not sure being in the one above the bathroom (all of 1m wide) would be any better.
Absolutely love that kitchen!!
That's gorgeous. Absolutely love it
That's been knocked since and being rebuilt at the moment, never knew Rory Gallagher once owned it.
I just saw Daft tweeting about this one, one of the more expensive properties on the site at the moment. I have to say it looks pretty cosy and homely even if the BER of E1 tells a different story 😄
Replacing all that glass with triple glazing would vastly improve that BER rating for a start! Nice house though.
That's a lot of glass!! Plus there's alot of roof that could probably be insulated better too.
I've craft room envy....mom obviously a quilter!
There is some serious 'old money' in that part of Greystones. I went to a black tie wedding on that road many years ago where the event was held in the brides home in a very nice marquee placed over the tennis courts.
All that space and they put in a 3/4 size snooker table.
Lots to like about that house. Kitchen looks small though.
Love the entrance hall tiles, and the gardens.
Fairly sure the IT did an article on it when it was first listed about a year ago. Owned by some Establishment family since the year dot IIRC.
That's really lovely.
Live the hobbit life in the wilds of Wicklow
Proper subterranean if one is living in a gowl.. Then again with a rating of G on the BER it's a hard pass from me (fanciful notions I could afford it aside)
Wheelchair accessible?
Well I suppose there is a ramp.
Interesting project. But you might ask why all photos are taken from the safety of a public road, or from a drone.
Handy if you have horses.
Storing hay for the horses in the hallway of the house.
Bit dear too considering it's a shell of a house. I didn't check google maps but from the pics there is another house to the right half built and stopped before finishing too.
I suppose it depends on what kind of wheelchair you have
Only Streetview is from 14 years ago and there is just trees where those two houses are now.
Bit like that BidX1 house in Monaghan a few months ago where you can see the photographers car in a few of the shots with the door open, presume the engine was running too.
Presume this is something similar.
My mind boggles when I see people putting in sand arenas etc for their kids. 99% of them lose interest by the time they’re 20. It’s the biggest waste of money. Just buy yourself a sports car to drop them down to the riding school. It’ll work out a lot cheaper in the long run.
The Laois house - the folio number is wrong, Planning was granted in 2010 and not extended, you only get half the arena, the road is a dirt track. There appears to be electric wires but no mention of sewerage or water supply. Its been standing half finished for at least 9 and probably 12 or 13 years. No thanks.
Sharing this one for two reasons 1) it's unusual to have the house inverted with kitchen and living room upstairs which took me by surprise, 2) I cannot work out how there are 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room upstairs but downstairs is a long hallway with a bathroom at the end of it and nothing else. Something is not right, the upstairs footprint doesn't match the downstairs or am I missing something?
