Best of luck everyone!
Hi. Can anyone in their new AP role give some feedback as to how they're getting on?
This is the correct scoring called after stage 1 i.e. 1037 and not in the 900s. That's were the confusion lies.
I didn't mean to be rude, apologies if it came across that way! 😕
On 19th Jan they were only on 1037 (Total score) as in following the original online exam for both inter and open. I think stage 2 kicks in when they get to your number review your application and then you are either in or out to stage 2
@BandMember just trying to help mate. Rudeness won’t get you far.
I understand what you are saying, but none of it is correct. Anyway, let's move on.......
@BandMember i think you’re mixing up Order of Merit (oom) and stage two results. After stage 1 (aptitude tests), you will have been given an order of merit which you appear to indicate is 1000+. I believe they’ve only taken candidates from stage one to stage two with an OOM of around 700 thus far. During stage two, applicants competencies were shortlisted and they were given a new score, not an OOM. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks Tony, am aware of all that and how the process works. I have tried to contact PAS but have not received any response despite multiple attempts to get in touch. As I say, they seem to have gone way past my original score to bring people to Stage 2. I'm just baffled and confused as to why I have not been contacted - even if just to say that I didn't make the cut for shortlisting.
Sorry email address is aprecruitment@publicjobs.ie .....
it appears from reading through on the thread, the two locations/counties you selected in original application also determines the order you are called. It is based on demand from Depts.
Bandmember, see above
Thanks, but it can't possibly be correct as I scored well over 1000 and have not heard anything from PAS yet.
They told me at my interview on the afternoon of Friday the 2nd that I was the last to be interviewed from batch 3.3 and results would issue in 10 days. Hopefully results come today if not probably next Friday.
Bandmember, message above seems to be the latest from PAS
Noting yet here either. I understand that they send the results out to everyone at once.
I am expecting results next Friday. Partially to avoid disappointment if they don't come today!
Not sure, I had mine on the 26th Jan, no word yet. Hopefully find out today either way 😅😬🤞🏼
Anyone know what is the range of scores that was used for this batch and if there is any word on when the next batch will be called and what scores will be used for that batch?
There were interviews on the 29th, and I'm assuming all the rest of that week. Has anyone heard anything yet? If you're unsuccessful do they tell you at the same time as successful candidates, or later?
There seems to be a much longer wait for people on the open panel than existing civil servants on the InterD panels. People on the InterD panels wouldn't need to go through garda vetting etc.
How is there such a long wait? Reading posts here of people getting start dates a couple of weeks after receiving their interview results?
Good luck! I think you'll be fine. I'm waiting on Dublin open after passing in November 2023. Hopefully not too long to wait.
Can't delete....
Hi all. I passed my Interview final stage last October. Placed Interd 4 and Open 7. Just heard I'm down to 1 on ID and 2 in the Open. Both on a Wexford Panel. Open until Oct 31st. Here's hoping a vacancy pops up!
Thanks! I sure hope so. The waiting is the hardest part!
It could be sooner. I was 7 days after interview. Good luck!!
Thanks for that. I thought that was the case, but I couldn't recall exactly what they said to me after the interview. If it was indeed the 2nd February, I would imagine we can expect results around the 16th.
@HydroTendonMan interviews for batch 3.3 concluded on 2nd February I believe.
I had my interview on the week before last and from what I can see the batch 3.3 interviews took place over 4 days, the 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th of January.
Can anyone confirm what the dates were for the following week and when the batch of interviews ended?
Cheers. I haven't heard anything about progressing to stage 2.
Stage 2 is where your form is reviewed and a score is allocated. Results of stage 2 will be released to candidates by message board. You can email aprecruitment@publicjob.ie for an update on your position within the competition.
That can't be right. Sure I scored 965 after stage 1 for Dublin and wasn't called to the next stage.
