Sounds like it could be fun!
It should be noted that a number of inherent building defects have been discovered and will require remediation. Investigations by expert consulting engineers have been carried out on the property and extracts from the report can be shared on request.
Wonder if you could get one of the grants RTI got 😂😂😂😅😅
Nice gaff but god only knows what's hiding in that report.
€1.1m for a house with 'building defects' and they'll only provide extracts from the report?!
I don't think the house looks too bad though (ignoring the defects)
When I first saw it I thought it was funky wall paper!
Pyrite or Mica?
Gallagher Quigley estate agents are delighted to present to the market the unique opportunity to buy someone else's nightmare for a mere 1.1 million snots. Early viewing and deep pockets are advised.
It doesn't say the year it was built. A3 BER which would suggest a new house, except it isn't verified and no BER number given.
It was built between 2006 and about 2009 i think. My company at the time provided pipes for that site.
A3 BER is a lie then.
I don't understand why the owner wouldn't fix it, and then sell it.
Can't see anyone buying it with "defects" unless its a builder. Would a bank even give a mortgage on it?
Either they can't afford it, or were advised it would be too expensive to make it worth their while as they would be in negative equity, or that it would be better to demolish it.
Could also be a messy divorce with neither party wanting the headache of dealing with repairs, or just being stubborn.
Can't post the link. But renting a room out in 2020 : Facebook MyHome
Does the 1.1 million include a "discount" versus similar houses in the area?
Not bad value to be own king / queen of a cheap Irish Castle in cork
1500 a week on air b and b?
That castle initially seems like a cool place and might be nice ot spend a night in but the lack of basic facilities would get very old very quickly. As mentioned you mightdo well renting it out for short term stays but I'd say it's a very grim place to be after the initial "wow, I'm in a castle" factor has worn off.
That castle looks freezing and I wouldn't fancy doing a dump in the second toilet
the crying throne ?
I'd love this. Can't see where the off street parking is though. You would certainly need it in summer i'd imagine. Interesting former owner also.
Pretty sure that house was on "Home of the Year" a season or two ago
*** whispers really quietly *** Shhhh... don't let anyone see the stairs with no handrails 😁
what pic is that in?
5, 9, 11, 24
you mean the 3 steps? hardly qualifies as a stairs.
Serious danger of getting wedged there after a big feed.
375,000 to absolutely freeze your balls off in a wooden shack
There is a reason why there is a throw / blanket on the back of every chair and sofa ❄️
Oh man, many's the happy (slightly hazy) hours we've spent sitting on the pier wall, drinking pints and basking in summer sunshine, and drooling over that house!!!
No, if it's the same programme I'm thinking of, it was a house on the other side of the river, and further up past the town beyond the bridge
Oh my bad, is it very very similar to that house? I was convinced I've seen that house before
