Twitter seems to be having a bit of a meltdown about this today with all sorts of crazy rumours going around.

Journalist interviewing a world leader, how shocking.... Putin has done numerous interviews with American media in the past.
Tucker isn't a journalist though
Whatever you say
Below are just a handful of the 59 page document detailing his descent into the racist creature he is today.
Journalist my arse.
December 15, 2022: Carlson claimed the Biden administration is “succeeding
in changing the population of the United States.”
December 19, 2022: Carlson stated that immigration at the southern
border is “the biggest story in recent American history: a total change in the
American population.”
December 21, 2022: Carlson offered to fund a militia at the southern
border.
January 12, 2023: Carlson said that former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo
was forced to resign because he’s a white male.
January 17, 2023: Carlson accused Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) of
“blood libel” against white people.
January 27, 2023: Carlson said white people are victims of “racial hatred”
amid coverage of Tyre Nichols’s death after he was brutally beaten by
Memphis police.
January 30, 2023: Carlson blamed affirmative action policies for the death
of Tyre Nichols, saying the Black officers who beat him while in custody
“were affirmative action hires.”
January 31, 2023: Carlson lamented, “Very few unarmed Black men are
killed by white cops these days. Where’s George Floyd when you need him?”
February 1, 2023: Carlson claimed NBC News is “openly advocating” for the
genocide of white people.
February 17, 2023: Carlson claimed federal diversity initiatives aim to
“place the federal government, all of it, in opposition to” straight white men.
February 23, 2023: Carlson claimed Biden has enacted a mandatory “new
Jim Crow” targeting white people.

Putin has no idea Tucker is an America spy working for Biden.
Some f**king yank hairdoo went over to Russia. Whoop-dee-f**king doooo.
Yeah, but Twitter is melting down.
If Tucker were to get an interview with Putin, which seems quite plausible, it would be quite significant and a memorable thing, it would be a milestone in history. Whether a milestone for the better or for the worse I'll let you decide. So to be fair twitter is probably uncharacteristically right in having a bit of a melty over it on this occasion.
I have little doubt Tucker would try it, but Putin mightn't go for it at all. Putin likes things done in a certain way, he requested Snowden to stop dishing dirt on the US to the public, he has no desire to inflame tensions for no reason and not a fan of WWE style drama in politics. He might also view it as a weird distraction that he would have to take time out to prepare and do.
I hope it does go ahead but it all seems a bit like putting 2 and 2 together and getting a million. It's not unknown for wealthy people to travel to places they're interested in for a holiday.
It's not a mile stone of any kind, it should be treated like the clown show that it is. it will be forgotten about in a couple weeks when Elon Musk says sometime while out of his gourd on special K.
All the hysterics and pearl clutching is giving Carlson more oxygen, and it's what he and most of his fan base thrive on.
They just call it Ukraine.
It's what the courts agreed to as well, pull another
It's called hyperbole.
what the courts ruled?
Putin loves to inflamed tensions.... 😂 For a guy who pretends to be very knowledgeable on the Ukraine conflict and Russia, you really seem to be oblivious that inflaming Western politics has been something Putin has spent the last decade doing.
very strange people here, and other countries fawning over Putin, and Russia. Nearly 1/4 of the country still has no indoor plumbing. People longing for the good old days of having a shite outside, rampant unemployment and alcoholism.
People have it far too easy. Turkeys voting for christmas. Like the water protestors, my dad said they can always do what he had to when young, and collect the water from the manual pump at the bottom of the village several times a day
A defence offered in a usa law court is hyperbole?
Most Russians have two homes, a main home and a summer home - in Ireland you're considered part of the elite now if you have one.
Irish people are also one to talk about unemployment edit: alcoholism.
There is no way that statistic about plumbing is true.
Worth noting that Carlson's legal defence in 2020 was that he engaged in so much hyperbole that no reasonable viewer should really believe his statements.
On top of that they tend to trend downward in economic prosperity. You've got oligarchs that hold most of the wealth. Most Russians owning two homes tends to be dachas that people effectively gained from the Soviet era so you can't exactly credit Putin for that. Home ownership is high in general in ex Soviet nations.
It's fantasy to try to imply there's a higher quality of life in Russia. Life expectancies in Russia are drastically lower, salaries are drastically lower. You're more likely to die during infancy. Plus there's the fact, they're drafting their civilian population to help with Putin's expansionism.
Then you've got the possibility of jailing for protesting the regime. Their modern day gulags. Killing of political opponents and journalists. Lack of press freedom in general.
Most Russians aren’t in the Kleptocracy.
Interview to be aired on twitter at 11pm GMT tomorrow supposedly.
I'm sure it'll be this generations Frost/Nixon.
No wait... I mean it'll be the exact opposite of that.
"Worth noting that Carlson's legal defence in 2020 was that he engaged in so much hyperbole that no reasonable viewer should really believe his statements."
$150,000 was paid, it was his opinion that she exorted the money - a totally valid opinion to have for the circumstances. He actually had "alleged" in the statement in question somewhere but I guess it wasn't repeatedly stated in every exact place.
The origin of this is actually due to how it was a defence that was actually used by Alex Jones over his Sandyhook denial - the lefties had a field day with that defence (and justifiably so, that man is ridiculous). Claiming the judge ruled "no reasonable viewer should really believe his statements" for Carlson based on this is hugely disingenuous horse manure farce. The judge never stated anything like that, and how ironic that the case was about slander when Carlson himself would have a better chance of winning a suit for slander over claiming that about what was the ruling was.
"On top of that they tend to trend downward in economic prosperity."
What are you talking about? The trend has been downwards since the massive sanctions obviously, but hugely upwards since Putin took over. Their economy had been decimated by the end of the USSR and now Russia is prosperous. With BRICS Russia is developing to a stage where they don't need the west anymore. St. Peterburg, at least the nice parts, is a match for any first world country in the world. There are some parts of Russia that would be considered still developing yes - considering it's the least densely populated major country in the world and with extreme temperatures that makes sense.
Hard to have a plumbing system when the average temperature is below freezing as some of us were briefly reminded of recently in Ireland.
"Home ownership is high in general in ex Soviet nations."
Tangential point but isn't it ironic that communism would result in more home ownership. The only negative about communism is stupid people in control and unethical people.
"It's fantasy to try to imply there's a higher quality of life in Russia. Life expectancies in Russia are drastically lower, salaries are drastically lower. You're more likely to die during infancy."
The life expectency problem was also left over from the cold war and has drastically improved under Putin, along with the other things you mentioned. This is all well-known, I'm not making it up.
"Plus there's the fact, they're drafting their civilian population to help with Putin's expansionism."
It's normal, many western countries have similar drafting protocols. It's all about the level of enforcement of the draft, and if every day Russians were being heavily targetted for it we could count on the western media to not shut up about it.
"Then you've got the possibility of jailing for protesting the regime."
Depends what you say. Protesting against wars abroad is for sure allowed in western countries. However there is no reason why this can't be considered treasonous. The rest of the world doesn't have to go by what the west says.
"Killing of political opponents and journalists."
These are all conspiracy theories bandied about western media as either facts or "and we know it was Putin because we know Putin is bad".
excellent work comrade, have a turnip with your potato
Opposite of Frost/Nixon?
As in Nixon/Frost?
Or Beck/Palin, Trump/Jones. Tubridy/Huberman
Fox was sued because of Tucker, but how come no one has sued Tucker himself, it's a no-brainer victory in court for millions, his fiction has no place in court, as Fox found out, only facts can be used in a court of law.
Can't wait to see someone sue him
A few people picking up on the Guy Verhoftad comment from yesterday more than anything else i think.
One muppet's comment doesn't mean a entire organization is going that way.
Why do we need to hear Junkie Musk's opinion, can't we just have the original comment instead of a comment on a comment on the original comment?
