Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Richie Kotzen and his guitar hitting opium in July
Saw them supporting The Stranglers at the Ulster Hall back in 2018. Absolutely amazing live. Had booked to see them at the Limelight but covid put paid to that - it was rescheduled but the new date clashed with something else.
Kevin McAleer has announced that he is retiring from live work and there are 2 farewell shows.
11th April - Vicar Street, Dublin
21st April - Mandela Hall, Belfast
Apparently, the long rumoured Pearl Jam gig in Marlay Park in June (22nd) is indeed true, it is booked but hasn't been officially announced yet. Info from a reliable source.
I’ve heard similar
Hopefully an Irish date will be added if/when they announce Euro dates. A trip to the UK may be needed
Bess Atwell playing The Grand Social, Dublin on Saturday 12th October. https://twitter.com/BessAtwell/status/1754445950959882656?t=GPyBnGeydC_91Oq3S03BQA&s=19

Interesting, saw them on Graham Norton announcing a UK arena tour and I was a bit surprised the 3arena wasn't included
Day before Suede/Manics
Nadja, Academy 2, Thursday 25th July: https://mcd.ie/artists/nadja
Seen them in the Bello Bar a few years ago. Good gig but i think they would be better served by a live drummer rather than a laptop.
AC/DC teasing something

The Corrs playing the 3Arena in November

that's going on the maybe pile.
That's a step down from last time, that was the Olympia. I wonder if it didn't sell well, I remember it was a bit pricey for me, think it was about €60
Academy will be a cracking venue for them
Any rumours about when there might be more announcements for Iveagh Gardens, Collins Barracks, Malahide and Marlay Park?
I'm curious as to whether there might be any more gigs announced for St Anne's Park also.
id say st annes is near its quota with 5
pearl jam should be announced for marlay soon and potentially 1 more, maybe someone like the foo fighters?
malahide only has 2 announced so would expect more announcements there in feb/march
iveagh gardens i would imagine is near its quota as well with 9
Collins Barracks should have more to announce, rumour on here was potentially death cab/postal service
Tickets on sale this Friday
possibly only one show left to announce for Iveagh and trinity respectively. There is a Friday slot going for Iveagh.
would say in the next few weeks for marlay and malahide. Would expect at least 2 more for marlay the weekend before green day/longitude.
Collins barracks might be a while. They have until end august for that series. Not in as much of a rush as June shows
AC/DC teasing something on their socials, tour announcement imminent by the looks of it.
About time
Excellent. I wasn't expecting an Irish gig so was planning to travel to Belgium or the Netherlands to see them. This will lower my carbon footprint a bit.

Wed 24th April: Dolans Upstairs, Limerick

Hopefully Jim Corr, won’t be telling people about baseless conspiracy theories
Same night as GYBE. Nice surprise though.
End of the road festival announcing tomorrow. A few from here travel over. So will be of interest
Stiff Little Fingers are back for their annual Custom House Square gig in August! A great line-up as always.
Possibly tickets will go sale for AC/DC and Pearl Jam around the same time
pearl jam expected to announce this day week yea
Funny that after months of rumours they probably end up being announced and going on sale the same time. Both probably have a hefty price tag
