Gerasimov???
And this story is doing the rounds
...
Don't mind @Furze99 . He dips into this thread periodically to call for Ukrainian males in Ireland to be deported home for conscription.
It comes from an anti-immigrant view he has expressed many times in other forums.
He's been told many times that it's impossible, immoral and illegal for Ireland to return refugees to a war zone, no matter the conscription laws of their home country. Still though he's here every fortnight, like clockwork.
The point being that if the maga objection is the spurious claim that its squandered by corruption etc, the democrats can respond by saying "we arent sending any actual money, just tracked and traceable military equipment".
US Ukrainian aid further delayed while Israel will likely be getting 17 billion after the next vote
Oh he dead.
And the bastards didn't even put a RIP in the papers......they're some shower all right!!!
Last couple weeks front lines has been grim reading about the wobbles on the UAF front lines and tactical retreats.
But, last few days, there has been a lot of good news out there and Russians have (tactically speaking) gotten a good kicking.
Even with UAF wobbles or retreats, tactical or otherwise, the Russian losses are just staggering. And I don't believe like some (one) on here that Russian has infinite of everything (people/shells/tanks etc...) Every new attack Russian makes, they seem to lose more and more.
That he was shot seems certain, whether alive is not yet clear.
Putin is fighting on two fronts now, Ukraine and at Home. He's just banned a planned parade by the wives and mothers of Russian men serving on the front. Understandably, the want their menfolk home, which is the exact opposite to what Putin wants, and to balance the score, some units have threatened to pack their weapons and march on Moscow if their womenfolk are ill-treated. The wisps of steam are slowly but surely escaping the pot, like in Jamie Watts potlid!
But some have been repeating this for over two years now in the hope of someday might be true
Looks like things in Avdiivka are going to get more difficult over the 14 days or so another Russian breakthrough happened yesterday,
And again, the standard response will be that deporting people so they can enlist is not something that will happen in this reality and really amounts to you trying to spread your xenophobia to other discussions under false pretences.
What are you beginning to wonder exactly
"Decent Irish citizens", currently most visibly seen burning down hotels, nursing homes and anything even suggested for use for asylum seekers.
And if not those, then the fabled Silent Majority who require no proof of existence except in the conviction of the opinionated.
"Decent Irish Citizens " indeed.
Considering the response you get to your ramblings, I think your "widely held" belief is not widely held.
If you think a few protesting soldier mothers and wives are a sign of imminent social unrest in Russia I think you are going to be disappointed. Crackdown on dissent and swiftly move on is all that will happen
Drones are useful
Mothers/wives by themselves , they might not achieve a lot/ anything but in association with other ‘actions/activities/statments/ etc ‘ you would not know what might happen. If there were a few more , even minor, ‘events’ to compliment Prigozhin’s march on Moscow, God only knows where that might have ended.
If only Ireland didn’t have a history of its citizens heading everywhere else…In fairness, some of them got the same hostile welcome you are giving to the Ukrainians.
I question your sanity or perhaps you are just trolling. So you are advocating that military age Ukrainians in Ireland be rounded up and shipped off to the battlefront. According to you it’s their “duty”. I don’t think you engage your brain before you allow it to fart out of your mouth. The only way you can be detained in the DEMOCRATIC country called Ireland is if you have or are suspected of committing a crime. If you are wanted by a foreign jurisdiction for whatever transgression then the authorities of that jurisdiction must request your extradition and the charges must be clear and transparent. That transgression must also fall within the confines of legal norms agreed to within extradition treaties. Notwithstanding, the punishment for that transgression, if contrary to (say Ireland’s) standard then you can forget about it. Extradite a Ukrainian so we can send him into battle? Get lost. Extradite some person back to Saudi so we can chop off his hand for robbing an apple. Nah. Extradite a woman to Pakistan so we can stone her to death for cheating on her husband? Eh…..GTFO.
Did Canada round up and ship US citizens who fled the draft back to be sent into the Vietnam nightmare?
I'm not sure Gatling was particularly supporting those their avoiding national service -
More questioning the ability to send anyone back ,with the rules, regs and systems that we and our eu partners have ,
( not trying to answer for you Gatling ,just how i read your posts )
Well if Ukraine is made a member of the EU, like so many clueless buffoons are clamouring for then all 25 million of them can legally come to Ireland and don’t need to go anywhere else. Your ilk sputter about Ukraine being fast tracked into NATO, the EU, whatnot and then you want them out of the country.
You haven’t really thought things through, have you?
It's the "if" part that's the problem. It's been a long, long time since the mainstream Russian population stood up in any numbers and resisted any of the relentless crap Putin and his people throw at them. The good citizens have left or stay silent in fear, the rest don't even seem to feel the role of politicians is to in any way serve the people
