I think you could even have an MJ's type take away there. Plenty of locals in Oakpark would use it.
There have been a whole row of street lights out on the upper Oakpark road from the Muing junction to the roundabout for over a week now. So dark at night. Reported to both council and via the online street light reporting option, but still nothing done. Crazy how long it takes to get things like this done. Same in Slatts carpark, near Lidl. Light not working there since November, reported numerous times. The carpark is way too dark there in evening as it is, without a main light not working. And its un-nerving when having to go back to car after dark. How hard is it for basic things like this to be fixed!?
They came down in the storms
almost 2 weeks now! Taking their time to fix and its only 1 strip. But I notice street lights can be out for ages before they do anything about them.
I saw them hanging down after 5h3 the storms. They may need to order the replacements. Looked in rag order.
I live up that way & didn't notice anything hanging down?
Saw a few hanging as I drove to work
Even more reason so why they should have been repaired by now!
Be grateful you even have lights. I walk outside and it's complete darkness...and don't mention potholes.
Its a busy main road and people use it to walk/run in the evenings and its very dark and dangerous. Not about being grateful, its about the council getting something fixed!
The street lights on the upper main Oakpark Road have finally been repaired. I had emailed the council yesterday (Wednesday) and it was done today!
Just saw that Lloyd's pharmacy in ashe St and Fairies cross medical centre are to close in a few weeks!
And it was solely down to your email and not the availability of parts and engineers to fix them 😁
amazing how they got the parts a day later! 😏
They probably got the parts from other lights in the town. Someone else will be complaining now. 😛
They obviously knew you were a mod and knew not to argue with you 😝.
Loads of tractors in town tonight protesting in Sympathy with their french compatriots. Typical Ireland, do it at night to cause the least disruption. 😁
Farmers are getting a rotten deal at present from the establishment and alienating the general public aint going get much sympathy..The only ones the present government and E.U. are interested in looking after are themselves, big business and refugees
Never understood why they had 2 relatively close to each other like that. Ryles across the road will be glad to pick up the slack from the Ashe Street one.
Didn't Ryle's originally have a pharmacy there and then sold it to Lloyds?....then opened across the road!
It used to be Ryle and DeLacey. Cathal left and the Ryles took on the pharmacy as Lloyds. They subsequently opened their own pharmacy across the road and Lloyds remained in situ.
This might be why the Tralee Lloyds branches are closing... "In January 2024 it was confirmed that Lloyds Pharmacy had been placed into liquidation, with debts of £293million (£228million of which was owed to former parent Admenta UK), and that the last of the remaining Lloyds Pharmacy stores had been divested to new owners by 26 November 2023, at which point the chain ceased trading, with pharmacy staff transferred to their store's new operator"

Sports direct are closing down.
Source?
My understanding is it's just the 'Brand Max' section on the top floor.
Big sign in the window. Could be brand max as said in another post.
You should be more careful with your posts. A incorrect post like that for a smaller business could cause a lot of damage.
Do you over-react much ? 😁
We'll all have to visit the "big sign in the window" to see what it says. 😕
I would imagine that any employee of Sports Direct would be panicking after reading your post and wondering what would happen if their job no longer existed.
Do you need to go to specsavers? Maybe in future you will actually read any big signs before posting incorrect information that you just made up.
