Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Punchestown being used on June bank holiday for MK and Belters Only. Mcd attempt at dance music shows to compete with forbidden fruit
MCD really are a scourge, trying to shut down any opposition all over the country and increase their stranglehold.
In fairness Ireland could do with a really decent dance festival, FF had some decent years (looking back at the Saturday of FF 2017, one of my favorites I've attended) but fell they're a long way away from where it used to be. Life seemed to have some decent years but gone now as did B&S but hardly can be considered in that bracket. But I doubt a lineup of MK and Belters only are really going to strike fear into FF lol.
doesn’t help having MK and belters only playing pumchestown same days as forbidden. Will draw some of the crowd away
No irish date for Heart, maybe it might get announced later but doubtful
Its a shame whenever Squeeze have played here recently it’s not been their own gig, would really like them to play properly.
Idles announced 2 extra dates for Belfast (16/11) n Dub (20/11)
On sale Friday
American Football announced four UK dates for 25th anniversary of debut album. One festival end of June and three headline shows in September.
Any hope of an Irish gig?
1000 Mods in Grand Social, Wednesday 10th April and Voodoo, Belfast the previous night: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1000-mods-at-the-grand-social-dublin-10424-tickets-803085489317?aff=aff0bandsintown&bit_userid=${user_id}&appId=JVK_1000zbqf&comeFrom=267&artist_event_id=105084596
Stoner rock from Greece. Can be a little too RAWK for me at times but worth a look all the same.
I see Clark is playing Whelans, Friday 15th March. I think there's a few fans here. https://www.whelanslive.com/event/clark/
@Fanirish with St Vincent announcing this morning for BKS do we think she'll grace these shores this summer?
Probably not. Fairview show in 2022 lost a ton of money, only about half full. If she doing a June European run then not really many options here. No festivals here that she could play off top of my head that MCD promote. Could technically play BTP but she is probably pricy and probably not worth the money if fairview any indication of demand. Last album seemed to die upon release
Yeah was not the best of albums for me personally.
That's why I didn't go to Fairview either. I guess if we see her pop up in Lowlands announcement tomorrow she may end up at EP
I was at that fairview gig, was half full and a short set but I'm a big fan. She was at EP a few years ago, 2018 I think? But the tent was hardly rammed then either.
I had a lovely spot up the front of EA resting my back on a support beam. Was great.
That EP set was brilliant, a highlight for me that year
Her show in iveagh with mew on support was great. Probably at her creative peak on that tour imo
Annie mac for Galway arts big top
Mew! There's a name I haven't heard in a while, love them Looks like they're touring at the moment but it's basically London and Scandinavia, lazy buggers 😋
Horse Lords, Workmans Club, Sunday 14th April: https://www.foggynotions.ie/concerts/concert/horse-lords-workmans-club-dublin-2024
Excellent booking. Repetitive instrumental action. Excited for this one 😁
Baxter Dury playing the Button Factory on May 9th - could be interesting.
Thanks. I’ve been a fan of his for years and have never gotten to see him live. Very excited about that one.
Bryson Tiller playing Vicar Street on April 9th.
Ah thought she was brilliant. As she was the previous time in Stradbally and of course with David Byrne. True enough, I never got going on the last album but there are few finer sights than Annie in full flow with a guitar in her hands.
....
Fairview Park was awesome!
???
Nice got my Smile tickets upgraded. Seems to not be selling well so they've closed off the back end of A block I gather.
Sorry, yeah, just posted about Baxter Dury not realising it was up already.
Disaster putting them in 3 arena. Should of had them play trinity or fairview in the summer during festival run
Their music is a total snooze fest tho. Those summer gigs are generally more upbeat.
