Besides Springsteen i don’t think anything is planned. Cork GAA usually leak that information and nothing from them.
to be blunt, PUC is never going to be a regular concert venue. maybe a concert or two every other year but that’s probably it. Quite simply there isn’t many acts that can sell 40,000 plus tickets in cork.
Saw that, a pity he’s not doing the west coast as the Delines and RF always used to start their tours in Galway or Limerick and have a few pints afterwards. He’s a very friendly guy, and so accomplished. #BigEnvy

Have the Longitude promoters just got lazy and realised that it doesn't matter what sort of any half-known act and the crowd will show up regardless. This is the primary 16-21 years old festival and they just want the day out in a field drinking with friends, and photos at a 'festy' more than the actual music / acts etc. As long as they have music in the background and can sing along to a handful of songs for a social media video, they're happy. In general.
Why spend 20 to make 30, when you can spend 5 and make the same 30.
Half known acts is weird label to throw around when most of those acts announced have sold out 3 arena.
Doja cat is festival headliner around the world now. Becky hilly headlining musgrave park in cork. Central cee headlined forbidden fruit.
belters only, Blk, sonny fodera have all sold 3 arena on their own in last few months.
none of those acts come cheap. Doja probably charges over €500k a show
No idea about Nelly Furtado, sorry. I wouldn’t have much interest in seeing her at Forbidden fruit but she might be good to pull in a more mixed crowd hopefully. It would be good to see more indie acts to balance it out too. Wonder what other acts will be announced? ( fanirish?.. any thoughts?)

I went to my first (and only) one in 2019 as people were selling weekend tickets for about 100 quid on done deal since Chance pulled out. Honestly had a great lineup and a good few days out at something different. They're not all my cup of tea but Stormzy, Future, Aj Tracey, Headie One, Dave, $uscideboys, Brockhampton, Denzel Curry, JID, Jpegmafie, Juice WRLD, Vince Staples, Lil Baby, Pusha T objectively speaking are pretty much all ahead of almost everyone on that list and I've probably forgotten a few, you could probably say the same about previous years. Has really gone down hill that's really bad, last year wasn't fantastic lineup wise but was still miles better. I think I was around 21 at the time but I felt very old at it. Maybe just music standards for that target age group has up really fallen. I unfortunately seen Becky Hill at EP I think in 2022 and thought was fairly dreadful.

Did someone mention here before about a potential new indie music festival in Punchestown from MCD or the likes?
