Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Houseplants (Paul Noonan and Daithí Ó Drónaíi)the electronic combo, are back touring, a gig is now onsale for Cyprus Avenue Friday May 24th.
Noonan has been very busy, alternating between Bellx1 gigs, solo gigs, and joint gigs with Lisa Hannigan & Gemma Hayes.
The anxietiy that liam/squire gig is giving me is unreal, won't be able to get a sniff at tickets.
The days of good festival lineups are by and large over.
More money to be made by acts doing their own tours.
It’s a mixed bag, most arena level bands do end up summer festivals, they usually do one of summer of headline outdoor shows and another of festivals or a mix of both across two summers whilst touring a new album.
only a handful of superstar acts like Adele, beyonce, Taylor,Madonna, Harry styles , Metallica who are simply too big and have a stage design/show that not built for festivals
thats when you would miss the old scalping sites
Fuckn bricking it
i have 2 presales ready to go. but may have 2 look into other sources
Yep I have the presales ready, going to have everyone in office ready aswell......this may be my first time paying well over FV for a ticket
i done that for the 2017 lg comeback in the Olympia . i dont regret it
Eagles seem to be having no problems shifting the obscenely over-priced TX for their three-night "residency" in Manchester and have no added two extra gigs the following weekend.
While doubt their contract as support act, will allow them to do so, be great if Steely Dan could do a show at the 3-Arena on one of their nights off
I slept in that morning after a night out....if I recall they went on sale the second the 1st few solo gigs were announced, price very high??
ended up paying about 270 or something on one of the resale sites that were out there then.
Ye think if I don't get sorted I'd wouldn't pay much higher 300. Will wait and see .fingers crossed
Don’t know if anyone mentioned but Basht are playing Workman’s in March, tickets went on sale today.
Also expect The Last Dinner Party to announce their tour for ~October time in the next week after a date at Hammersmith was leaked. Very curious where they play here (if they do)
Foggy Notions are teasing a few long overdue gigs to be announced next week https://twitter.com/foggynotions/status/1751192011913277497?t=7qBC-T2IPup-tRjoDoK4KA&s=19
Looks like some of these gigs are with U Mack https://twitter.com/umackDublin/status/1751215275830108439?t=DElZRXYmRj3wSLJayteF_g&s=19
i suspect at least one or two people on here will be happy
Heart have an announcement coming Monday, should be dates in Europe to accompany a brief number of festivals they already down for.
Who needs mystic meg when we have fanirish.
Ooh, I'd love to see them (especially considering I thought one of them was dead 🫣).
🔮 🔮🔮
Hopefully more than 1 or 2! I'm curious now who it will be but time will tell sure..
Paul Heaton will be touring later in year, hopefully will be coming to Ireland. Has already announced some festivals and Cardiff, still doing tickets at 35 quid similar to the last tour. One of the best gigs last year for me. You will not get better value for money anywhere in 2024.
No Jacqui Abbott, looks like Rianne Downey again, she did Transmt festival with him last year and was great.
I was at transmt. Rianne was very good. Much more suitable than Rumer in my opinion
Rianne did a wonderful gig in Whelan’s last December too
Is there any more expected gigs for live at the marque?
Yeah all the international acts for it being announced in feb
Looking like Cliff Williams won't be touring with AC/DC and still questions over Phil Rudds involvement
Might turn into Angus and friends
What about PUC?
So long as Angus and Brian are involved I’ll make an effort to go (if the whole tour goes ahead). Without Brian though it would be a very hard sell.
