not sure if you or I are in the minority but I find their arguments extremely mild to what I’m used to with friends. Just different lines for different people. As long as everybody knows where the line is it’s fine.
I mean I’m sorry if that stuff makes people uncomfortable but the lads knowing each other so well and winding each other up is literally one of the unique selling points of the show. Long may it continue.
It's fairly obviously Carsley isn't taking the Ireland job because the FAI have tapped up Klopp.
Yeah, that was actually a very good listen to be fair.
Was just going to post that they'd chosen a bad week to take a Friday off!
They take a lot of, dare I say most, Fridays off and more luck to them
There's literally an extra pod coming out today because of the Klopp news.
I don’t know how that relates to my post. Read what I replied to maybe
Jesus, saw 30 new replies and thought one of the lads was dead or something.
Ha, only just listened to the SC episode in question now and see this was actually mentioned!
Klopp quitting is much worse
I listened to their episodes with Dan Carlin, which were decent, and then their recent series on the JFK assassination, which was fairly poor (as the lads themselves mentioned).
In that survey last year i made sure i. Put in my favourite part of the show is the lads chatting.
I get the feeling the slagging is encouraged by all the lads. I picture the receiver smiling a massive grin when the other one is taking his shot
The fawning over Klopp is a bit mad. He has 8 complete season as Loverpool manager, and finished behind United 4 times while United have been shite. He's not worth the praise he gets.
"It was just banter"
No if only he won all the trophies united did in those 8 years .
A premier league title after so long. 97 points and losing the league.
3 champions league finals with one win.
He’s been an incredible manager. I’m a united fan.
Did you miss the part where he took over the same Liverpool that were Spursy before Spursy were Spursy, then?
I'm not a Liverpool fan and I think Klopp has done an incredible job at Liverpool.
Couldn't stand his faux "quirky" persona, but yeah he's a very good manager.
Rubbish
to win what he did and compete with the biggest cheats in world football was some feat, he would have 4-5 titles if the Abu Dhabi scumbags had been tackled properly
"shite" United were second behind the biggest cheats in world football twice in that period too, and also won a European trophy during that time 😁 but Solskjaer is remembered as a fool and Mourinho a charlatan, while Klopp is supposedly a living saint.
I’m guessing one of those seasons was when Liverpool lost nearly all their centre halves to season ending injuries so had to play most of the season with Nat Philips/Rhys Williams as their centre halves. Those two were let go by Celtic and Aberdeen respectively before Christmas as they couldn’t even get a game up in Scotland. It was actually a minor miracle he got Liverpool to 3rd that season.
Another season was probably last season when they let their midfield grow old and it completely ran out of legs. I guess you could blame Klopp for that one for being too loyal to some older players.
I presume another couple were near the beginning of Klopp’s reign as he took over a fairly crap side from Brendan Rodgers. Finished behind United the very first season but he only took over in October when Liverpool were 10th.
As ever with stats there is usually a story behind them.
You can't really say that. It city weren't able to sign those players maybe other teams could have snapped them up, making the other teams stronger.
Looks like Eoin turned his dreams into reality. Lennon is set to be the next Irish manager…..
Yup
Really not sure how I feel about Lennon getting it. I'd prefer to take a chance on a young coach. Lennon the biggest MEH appointment possible for me. Not to say he's the worst appointment. I suppose at least he wants it
The episode about the murder of Sean Brown was very well done I thought.
United fan and completely agree with this.
Ireland is the definition of a meh job so we’re just punching at our weight. Eoin being caught in the middle when Lennon gets a 1-1 draw in Amsterdam or Madrid playing hoofball as Ken stews and descends even further into the poser world of ever more illegal streams of South American club football should be great.
