Surely 5G improves the speeds?
5G is worse than LTE for coverage. So that would be a downgrade frankly.
Tesla has enabled adaptive headlights on Model 3 Highland(Update 2024.2). They appear to work quite well so far.
Are the Highland cars shipping with a 5G sim?
Are we ever likely to see the sim upgraded? I find the speed not good enough a lot of the time.
Highland deliveries commenced today in the UK
I got basenor ones. They were a hoor to fit.
Amazon/Ali Express
I am planning on buying the ones from Spigen, along with a few other accessories from them, their screen protectors are the best on the market. Only weird thing is they don’t ship to Ireland so you’d need to use an post address pal.
There were no rear ones on mine and **** little front ones. I was able to use the rears anyway so will probably do
What about the ones that come with the car?
Anyone recommend mud flaps ? I bought basenor ones off Amazon that don't fit (they expect a bolt at the rear but there's none)
I think that is the conclusion I’ve reached now. I was a bit panicked when it first happened but Ive cancelled the service call and I’m arranging to have the puncture repaired tomorrow. If I’m wrong and it’s something more serious I suppose I’ll find out in time….!
Should buy her one of these instead.
If you look around, teslas are known to hold their water if at an angle. Then it all comes out when moved. After heavy rains.
You're taking the piss🤦
380 euro, 3 mechanic visits (drop off, collect and retorque) first time she takes the car out, she managed to curb them again 🥲😐 I think I'll just resign to them being curbed for good
No, just monthly €9.99 or 2500 referral credits.
Is there an annual subscription available for Premium connectivity?
okay, that makes sense. Thanks again for your help.
You can also sync your calendar with the car and if you have journeys planned the car will prepare accordingly.
Have cctv at home so no point. Plus it’s the longest duration where the car be parked so too many events and battery drain.
Thanks Gumbo. Can i ask why do you have Sentry on everywhere but not at home and how do you do that on the car computer?
It seemed to be clear, quite likely water. I didn’t move quickly enough to capture some of it so I can’t be sure. It wasn’t cold last night though so I don’t think it could be melted ice. It stopped dripping a few seconds after I parked and got down to look at it so I don’t know if there’s any way to test it now.
Depends on the fluid.
Is it clear, water?
Is it a coloured liquid?
Could be AC or just ice/frost melting?
Sentry on everywhere except at home.
Manually defrost if required. Make that decision when you wake up. Only takes about 5 mins and 2% off the battery.
i have a rear left puncture in my M3 RWD (2022). I stopped after 50 yards when I realised there was something odd about the handling and I saw the tyre pressure warning indicator. When I looked at the rear of the car I saw a lot of fluid spilling from underneath. It was from the centre of the car, probably two thirds of the way back. I think the fluid is clear (water?) and there was no obvious smell or oiliness.
i contacted Tesla for a mobile service call and they advised me not to have the tyre fixed but let them do it. They included a new tyre in the job estimate, and they have offered an appointment on Feb 12th. The thing is if the leaking fluid is not an issue I can get the tyre fixed easily. No point waiting three weeks for Tesla. But how worrying is the fluid? The web suggests it is likely AC condensation, or maybe a split washer fluid container, or at worst leaking battery coolant or brake fluid! The car hasn’t been driven for three days, I didn’t preheat it so the AC hasn’t been running, there’s no evidence of wet in the boot or inside the car. I don’t know if this happens often as I park on the street and wouldn’t notice some water on the road behind me.
Anyone had a similar issue and have an insight into what might be causing it?
Hi Folks,
I went in to climate on the app each morning 10 mins before i left home for work to defrost the car over the last two weeks which worked well. If i want to schedule this for each morning I have to go into schedule and in to precondition is correct and is this worth doing over a defrost for a 20 minute journey?
Also, do all of you have sentry mode activated in the car, is this worth the range loss in the battery?
I think it highlights though that if you’re in the market for a model 3, have a €42k budget and worried about range, buying an old LR versus a new RWD isn’t the way to go
That doesn’t sound right. Once I get the preconditioning completed notification I don’t hear any heating sounds beyond the cabin blower.
I just found the range really poor last few weeks. I'd preheat the car in the morning before leaving and from the office before leaving work. I could hear the battery pre conditioning all the way both ways and it was fairly loud.
Decided this week that I'd suffer the cold for a few minutes if it meant a quieter commute and much better range.
