The cashier scanned it with the barcode scanner that he uses for the products.
Did it make a happy 'beep' sound?
That's what I did and it worked
Yes it did, and so did I 😅🤣🤣😂
Will give it a bash in one of the Cork stores tomorrow!
Fig Rolls or Microwave Popcorn in the scratch card today.
A lot of posts showing use of the app.
I have to say I have seen a sharp drop off in use at the tills.
It’s not worth using unless it’s to get the PARKRUN really, the treats section hasn’t been great lately and spending a tenner for a scratch card that’s likely going to be junk doesn’t appeal, but that’s just my opinion obviously
I didn't even realise thats how got the scratch cards. Just thought they randomly showed.
I'm ok with the tenner at the moment as I can throw in a few firelogs to make it up but once the weather gets better I won't be bothered.
If alcohol was allowed it wouldn't be a problem.
firelogs at lidl? are they cheap😊?
The 30% off red hen / alesto etc is just not worth it on the scratch card imo. Free products are at least something
But the main deals are so poor a lot of the time - a couple of weeks back it was 3 cans of chickpeas for 1 euro - they are only 39 cent each and you could only use the coupon once - not worth giving away your personal data for imo
The same chickpeas were 29c not long ago
Most of their fire stuff are cheaper or on par with anyone else.
WillowWarmers €6.99
The firelogs in paper €1.79
Those packs of long logs €4.99
etc.
Re giving away your personal data, exactlly what information are you giving?
Before they brought in the €10 limit I used to be in maybe twice or 3 times PW but would normally be just below the new €10 limit, just checked the app and I've only been in 3 times since XMAS, and that was only for Parkrun stuff with a few other small bits. The other Lidl Plus offers seem to have been brutal the last few weeks so haven't bothered with anything.
I've mainly been with Aldi and SV since as IMO their offers have been better since XMAS, and surprisingly some SV own brand stuff is the same or cheaper than Lidl.
My 2l bottles of water have "connected for recycling" printed on the top of their caps. Is this the new thing? I wasn't charged any extra for them, still 49c a bottle..
that is something different where the cap stays connected to the ring around the bottle i think, the new scam doesn't start until next month
those 49c bottles were missing for a few weeks - came back with a new cap and a barcode printed on the packaging ( the re-turn scheme will rely on the barcodes reading methinks )
Sometimes I’m not bothered scanning my lidl plus card at the till if my purchase is under 10 euro. Even if it’s over 10 euro sometimes I’m not bothered. Especially when Lidl gives you 30% of red hen products which are just not appealing to me in the slightest. However the one euro off your next shop is a great scratch card. Between parkrun and the free scratch cards, I’ve enough honey to last me until 2025
From Mon 22nd - Sun 28th €10 off €50
Is there any limitations on which stores?
Listed for Mullingar, Castlerea & K-on-Shannon, but some have success in other stores.
Thanks!
I'm not a fan of sweet treats or most frozen processed food.
I'd rather a discount on vegetables, but that hardly ever happens!
Don't know why I bother scanning the app.
Is this valid in Dublin?
Not mentioned on coupon, but worth trying, someone earlier in thread was to try in Cork.
Has anyone the Parkrun code please?
call back later
This week’s coupon code is PARKRUN987 and will allow you a choice between our organic mushrooms and bistro salad to help fuel you for, or recover from, your weekly parkrun.
Please note, the code can be entered into the ‘Redeem code’ section of the Lidl Plus app from tomorrow (Thursday) until Sunday night. Once activated, the voucher must be redeemed in store by next Wednesday.
