others have died, so we don't know that the person is living with it on their conscience...........
More like he never got to clear his name.
I never thought he did it.
It was either the husband organizing something or something drug related.
Fact is that the Gards did everything to move the investigation in the wrong direction.
Posters claiming he was no longer suspect cos he wasn't questioned recently
That's just wild speculation
Who of the possible suspects are still alive?
Bruno? One or the other guard?
Husband, also dead, same as Tomi Ungerer.
I wonder will anything leak out of the cold case review now indicating how much Bailey was in their sights or otherwise ?
That's what I'm wondering
Isn't it true that the press are off the leash somewhat now in terms of libel ?
Sure who knows what will come out now and what the Gardai may leak to make themselves look better. 🤔
...
You know it was Bailey himself who introduced the french hitman theory into the public domain
In reality it's little more than a conspiracy theory
I think a woman did it, hence the block used to finish her off.
She confronted Sophie at her door maybe and a fight ensued.
It's possible.
However the "husband and hitman theory" was always around. After all, her husband would have benefited financially the most out of the murder.
I doubt that Bailey's motive was sexual, if it ever was him, nor would he have benefited in any way from her death, - other than maybe writing a story.
Bailey done it. Lets be contrite at least. A **** pile from AGS but it was Bailey.
Hopefully jules now has the courage to tell us what she knows.
Even if someone came forward now.Nd admitted doing it I'd find it hard to believe. I think it could be.one of the never solved crimes.
The.gardai made a.complete hash of it at the.time and did themselves no flavours with their attitude and ineptitude.
I believe same but bailey may have known he couldn't trust the person closest to him with info so she may have nothing in the way of confesssional info
Now maybe she knows more otherwise
And there's no incentive for Jules to speak
It's bad for her to come out with info now
Was the bonfire ever confirmed
Seemed to be a lot of peculiar events if so
The late nite newspaper article in an outbuilding after a drinking session
Attacked by turkeys
Im 90% sure IB didnt commit the murder but there is always that 10% doubt I have on this.
I wonder if there is anything left among Baileys possessions that reveals he actually done it.
Or was it climbing pine trees
I don't follow it too closely
A high % of the community living in that area in 1996 were extremely odd people. Everyone around there seemed to bear personal grudges against each other - its hard to figure out whats true and whats complete lies or misinterpretation.
Are you married? Have you ever lived with a woman for a long time?
Anyone who has would now, without a shadow of a doubt, that a man cannot withold a secret from a woman that he lives with, for a long period of time.
Women have a very strong quality of intuition/instinct with regard to those who are close to them.
I don't believe for a moment that Jules would have been unaware of any involvement of Bailey in the murder.
And I don't believe that she would have concealed any knowledge that she did have.
Furthermore, if she had had the slightest suspiucion that Bailey was involved, she would never have allowed him to live with her daughters.
Well that's horseshit. Of course a secret can be kept from those you live with.
To summarise
Men cannot keep secrets from their partners ?
Jules would have known if Bailey was involved ?
She would have came forward with the info she had ?
If she had the slightest suspicion she wouldn't have stayed with Bailey ?
Agree with the point about intuition but I guess you didn't spend too much time thinking the rest of your post through
This is BS.
He beat her more than once and she let him live with her daughters which is odd or unusual also.
Someone said the bonfire was weeks before Xmas. Someone else said it was just after the murder.
The detective said they found metal eyelets of boots in the soot.
I find the scratches most damning even though I still don't think he did it.
But to have scratches on hands from a tree and on your head from a Turkey at the same time as a murder that happened in briars is extremely suspicious.
It most certainly is not horseshit.
But if you have limited experience of co-habitation with women, you may believe that.
At Christmas 1996 Bailey was not only sharing a house with Jules - her 3 daughters were there, daughters spanish friend and Jules mother was there. Yet none of these ladies seen anything suspicious about Bailey that Christmas. While it is possible Jules covered for him, I dont believe the other ladies would have.
Its widely known Jules daughters hated Bailey so they would have had no reason to defend him or lie to the gardai. In fact it would have suited them to get rid of Bailey by saying he was behaving suspiciously, but they didnt. My guess they knew knew he didnt do it.
And also as a mother I believe that if Jules suspected he did it, she would have not have tolerated him living in the same house as her young daughters - no mother would.
He did beat her.
He was a wife beating narcissistic thug, who probably should have been jailed for waht he did to Jules.
But to hide a secret as bigf as that fromn the women yiou live with?
Forget it.
You're talking nonsense
You must be the only poster here knows anything about abusive relationships in your head
No, not for a quarter of a century.
She would certainly have known deep down
I never said she would have willingly kept it a secret......I think she is would have indicated if she knew or suspected anything. But she never did. Even after the split.
And I do not believe that she would have alowed Bailey to saty in the house with her daugfhters if she suspected him of a sexually motivated murder.
And, finally, I have held this opinion for a long time and have thought it through again and again.
