Its often the mistaken understanding of what a jury find. The jury find that the case was not proven beyond reasonable doubt and that he is entitled to the presumption of innocence. The law generally then protects the accused by preventing double jeopardy.
In Scotland there is a third finding that juries can have along with innocence and guilty that is the finding of ''not proven '' which might have come into play on the rape finding. However it was a civil case and Trump was found guilty of sexual assault and of lying ( my was that a surprise 😮).
