Brilliant try by Smith.
I'm enjoying how proactive both wingers have been in coming off their wing to look for work.
Yeah Smith has been brilliant, fantastic work ethic. He has things to work on but as said above, the more time he gets the more he'll learn. He could have a great career ahead of him.
He didn't stamp on him
He stood on him, it was pure accidental with no intent
Look at the reaction of all the players and fans
It was only when the slow-mo replay that there was a reaction
Yeah he could do with working on that a bit, although game time is probably the best way to do it.
Hes an extremely hard worker and great pace. Could see fans taking to him quickly
On the credit side, he's turned the ball over three times, which must be a record for a back this season.
Why are Connacht kicking the ball with an extra man on 40 minutes?
It's went well so far but very lucky to get away with the Hawkshaw tackle.
Hopefully they can press on in the second half and get the five pointer.
completely agree that was a tackle off the ground
Illegal too, got away with one
Don't think he meant it on the red. Sinklers boot comes up and nearly hits him in the face causing him to adjust and catch Bealham.
Maybe still a red but can't believe a modern player would do that intentionally.
They need that. It was a poor 10 mins against 13.
Multiple penalties in quick succcsssion
Not for me, solid red. Longish ban Incoming.
Cheers lads. Missed it.
Great to see a ref coming back after a try and issuing the card.
Sinckler was binned after the second try was scored. He obviously did something in the build up, but I'm not sure what
It was a harsh red, more clumsy thank wreckless or intentional, although l played rugby in the 70s and 80s in NZ and that wouldn't have even been a penalty back then 🤣
Sinckler got a yellow for something during the try phase
You can justify it all you want, he knows exactly where Bealham is and stamps on his face.
Good defence with 13 there, don't often see a knock back in the tackle, should have been play on
Did I miss a yellow card for Bristol?
Clock is showing along with the red on the scoreboard.
I went and checked his history, Caulfield had never had a yellow card in his career.
So you guys are suggesting he went from being a clean player to an absolute thug in one game.
It was accidental, no doubt in my mind, he wasn't even looking where he was stepping. He stumbled when his foot came down before the ground because he didn't expect it to happen.
Some marks on Bealhams face
My username and avatar should show that I've no green goggles on. It's a red card and a long ban all day long.
Apologies if mentioned already, but Connacht need to win by 19 to guarantee challenge cup rugby at least?
I‘m not a Connacht fan, couldn’t care who wins this and that was not accidental imo.
He knew exactly what he was doing there
If that was a Connacht player that did that you'd be all saying it's accidental.
I'm a Connacht fan but I don't wear goggles.
WTF? He stamped on Bealhams head. Even if it was accidental (and I don't think it was) he deserved the red and deserves no sympathy.
That was literally an assault on Bealham, he's lucky not to have lost an eye.
