She is relying on Dems to come out for her next week which is a very high risk strategy and long term it won't work.
Even if she was to pull off the win, she isn't bothering in Nevada and is down significantly in South Carolina her home state.

His strategery isn't that smart, but it's strategery all the same. This aspect of his cases have been commented on a load by politicos and legal eagles, who see the antics as efforts to get the Judges to fumble the cases on appeal for unfair biases etc., while they're unlikely to wash out judicially, it's not impossible when he installed as many judges as he did, and for the most part he just needs to put on a show for his dwindling base. It's not unheard of for dead-to-rights defendants doing disruptive antics in court trying to get their cases thrown out for similar grounds. About as useful in most cases as trying to clear your throat for a breathalyzer, but they already have nothing to lose by trying to troll a judge and win on appeal. Judge Engoron's been extremely patient in this regard, ignoring a litany of things he could have easily held Trump in contempt for by now, except well, Engoron doesn't want anything for his mob lawyers to use.
I can only see Trump taking the nomination, but he will scrape it.

I've read enough testimony from American liberals who'll talk of an Uncle, Auntie or some Grand-person who's a paid-up MAGA cultist, Thanksgiving having become this super-awkward time when you do your best not to be in the same room as Uncle Chuck. Maybe it's why the (American) arts have become so fond of the "Found Family" trope, given actual ones have become a nest of MAGA vipers for many. For those not aware, Stefanik recently curried anger when she referred to Jan 6th convicts as "hostages". Hostages to whom, we can make a wild guess. So she sounds like a perfect political/ego fluffer for Trump.
It's all part of the playbook now. He can't be "normal" or "meek", he constantly has to stand up to judges and be defiant, because his spiel is that it's all a conspiracy against him, which a lot of his base buys into.
I saw him attacking the judge there on social media, just like he's attacking every judge adjudicating in all the cases against him. You'd think that eventually at least some people would begin to realise that it's not all a conspiracy against Don and that he might actually have cases to answer. But the penny doesn't seem to have dropped yet.
He's just following the edict of his mentor, Roy Cohn, who taught him that you never back down or admit wrongdoing.
To be honest , I think he knows he's going to lose every single one of these cases , so it's all about playing to his supporters about how it's all a "witch-hunt" and to de-legitimise the entire courts process with them.
In his mind , if he can convince them all that all these cases aren't actually proof that he's a corrupt amoral sh!t-bag but evidence of a giant "deep-state" plot to get him and all his supporters , he can get re-elected and simply undo everything.
Yep, and he's probably right on that. As others have pointed out, if he does get back in there won't be any John Kellys around (not that I'm a fan of John Kelly). He'll simply put MAGA lackeys in every important position in government and these court cases will disappear faster that you'll believe. It's his only chance to avoid prison, I think.
He's gambling on the MAGA being enough to get the national vote though - Iowa was not quite a blowout when you dug into the stats and you'd like to hope think wandering undecided voters won't find this belligerence enticing for another go at the job
