It feels like a show house to me, not a family home.
I watch this show, and the house and family that live there is featured often. It includes two pre-teen kids, but you'd never know it from looking at these pictures.
The location is stunning, in both winter and summer.
That’s exactly it. It may not be bad, but it certainly isn’t good. It’s a mishmash 0f styles and bland colours and it feels cold and cluttered. It’s stuff for stuff’s sake.
I don't think the interior is that bad.
Let’s focus on all its strong points:
It’s big.
Probably a crystal of some sort. The owner is very into all that.
Is that a big rock on the coffee table?
Any fans of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City here..?
One of them has just listed their house for sale... (probably getting divorced!)
This substantial property boasts a shop, bar & lounge along with a good sized function room to the rear and is well established in the Drumcong community
The function room is really just the smoking area isn't it :)
And the bar is the community :)
It's not called Lovely Leitrim for nothing :)
Another bargain in Leitrim, this time a 4 bed accommodation plus shop, bar, lounge and professional kitchen with the potential to have a restaurant on the premises for...€199k
In the west, I think Leitrim has more going for it than the central Connacht region, ie most of Roscommon, East Mayo, north east Galway.

I think the bigger issue will be with getting a mortgage, not sure if it could be registered with the RTB, probably not if it doesn't have planning and/or compliant with building regulations.
It's unusual that the other house has a wall around it, so it does look like it was rented outside the family.
Yeah I'd imagine that's why it is only referred to as an outbuilding so maybe renting it out will not be possible. Could be allowable to have family live in possibly? I don't know much about the legalities.
I love it, but I smell planning issues with the second home being called an "outbuilding".
That...... is a fantastic find. I love it.
I looked at one in 2021 - they were up around 200k for a 4 bed detached, but the fact that it was a "managed" development put me off. They were absolutely gorgeous though, and you couldn't want for a nicer surrounding.
There is a private estate of houses right beside the hotel. About 10 or 12 if I recall.
I nearly bought one in 2015. Real nice places and they were only about €140,000.
I was trying to view the house on Street View but saw tis it's certainly te wild west.
I thought it was a bit steep myself even for such a beautiful house on a lakeside. I've just gone down a rabbit hole looking at the website of the Lough Rynn Hotel nearby - beautiful setting.
Nice house but €700k for Leitrim?
€700k is a lot for deepest, darkest Leitrim!
They seem to be a fan of Irish gin bottles refashioned into soap dispensers!
I was not expecting that. The interior is much nicer than the exterior.
This house in Mohill in Leitrim is beautiful even if a bit flowery in places :)
I think is probably a good deal, a 2 bed 2 bath house for €240k with an 'outbuilding with further rooms'. The outbuilding appears to be another small house with 2 beds, kitchen and living area which I am assuming could be rented out or used as a 'granny flat' or whatever we call it now when your grown up child can't afford a home but doesn't want to live at home.

I think the house has been edited since last night.
Is there a link for a 3D tour? I couldn't see one.
I wonder how they voted in the Brexit referendum.?
And what on earth is that painting on the left in picture 8?
Austin powers living room.
