Just found the above chart backing up what I have been saying for years.
Global warming is a wholly natural event, if humanity disappeared tonight, global warming would still happen.
yes, that is how seasons usually work. summers warm, winters cold.
76 was hot from July onwards, it snowed in May of the same year in the UK.
76 was not anything like the year that Europe has just experienced.
WIKI - 1976 Heatwave: The highest temperature during the 1976 heatwave was 35.9 °C (96.6 °F), 0.8 °C below the record at the time of 36.7 °C (98.1 °F) set on 9 August 1911.[17] As of 2022, 1976 has the 13th hottest day in UK history.[18] In the Central England Temperature series, 1976 is the hottest summer for more than 350 years. The average temperature over the whole summer (June, July, August) was 17.77 °C (63.99 °F), compared to the average for the unusually warm years between 2001–2008 of 16.30 °C (61.34 °F).[19] As of 2022, the hottest years in the series are 2003, 2006 and 2014.[20]
The summer became embedded in the national psyche, with subsequent heatwaves in 1995,[21] 1997,[22] 2003, 2006[23] and 2022,[24][25] all using 1976 as a benchmark. The 1976 heatwave was a rarity within its decade.
I remember the Irish summer of 1976 very well, not just for the heatwave, but also for the great chart music that summer 🌞
Snow in May of 76'
where exactly?
Eh, a heatwave is pretty different to the overall temperature trending upward globally. It's not based on one season....
It was later than May, it snowed in England at the start of June.
the point is, 1976 was undoubtedly exceptional in many ways, but what we are seeing now is becoming normal and each year breaks new records in both average global temperatures and the frequency and severity of extreme weather events. Pointing to exceptions like 1976 is completely missing the point ( I suspect that is the point been made here).
'world hunger? But I had a slap up meal last night!'
Has anybody noticed that plants are growing faster and flowering earlier and longer nowadays?
How come they are not absorbing CO2 like they should?
^^^
not sure what your question is - they do absorb CO2, but are not storing it long term unless they're creating wood, etc.; any CO2 absorbed to make leaves is re-emitted if those leaves decay again once they fall off the plant.
If its a serious question, it's frighteningly ignorant. I think it's trolling though. Hence the historical film reference.
It wasn't so much a question as a simple observation,
It's trolling masquerading as a question. Otherwise known as "JAQing around" or "JAQing off."
Why don't you... I dunno... Do Some Research and publish it, lets start easily and say publish it here, and see if your observation is in fact anything beyond an uninformed opinion.
'how come they are not absorbing CO2 like they should?'
was this an observation of yours?
The problem with JAQ is that if you are honest they always lead to many more questions and seldom the gotcha moment you hoped for.
The problem is that those JAQ are never honest people.
More negative analysis of Savorys wild claims.
not the first time that’s been posted & when you see the word’s Environmental friendly Meat substitutes & assumptions then that’ll tell you all you need to know. Very heavily influenced by vegan & vegetarian belief’s.
You never answered back to any my questions earlier.
What options do we have to stop biodiversity loss on 60% of the planet
Desertification
Store carbon
Feed a growing population on diminishing resources.
You were also provided with an actual study that pointed out their carbon sequestration will not stop or reverse global warming....☺️
Yeah and iv seen evidence that suggests otherwise. I think carbon sequestration imo is extremely difficult to measure accurately because of sheer complexity & management.
And i haven’t seen any other realistic solution to the problems iv already named such as feeding a rising population & restoring biodiversity to the world’s lands.
What is your source that says otherwise? Vaguely claiming that their measurements are inaccurate requires some proof too.
I wont be answering any of your questions - since they are based on misinformation.
Hahaha
Its actually extremely easy to measure. Initiate a program of management and then measure the soil carbon year by year. The experimental measurement can be performed by a first year graduate - so why has Savory never subjected any of his demonstration plots to this extremely simply test ?
Hey all I’ll say is i suggest you start getting some second & third opinions on ecology & watch some of the Savory video’s and people practising no till farming, no dig gardening and regeneration of deserts.
We did and came to a different conclusion.
So reverting back to recommending videos by Savory and not providing any evidence... Round and round in circles we go.
Iv provided all the evidence of what I’ve said.
You keep side stepping what else are we going to do to solve these problems.
Yee support the mainstream science, and ao does most of the world. And that’s mainly that there’s any animals.
If that science was working we wouldn’t have habitat destruction, desertification and global biodiversity loss on a global scale.
Savory method doesn't reverse desertification, and if you think it does please show us the proof.
Here's a clue - a promotional vid is not proof.
I have done lots of research over the years,
Based on Actual science, mainly related to population expansion from palaeolithic to neolithic.
I do have a question though,
How much carbon dioxide is being released by the volcanic eruption in Iceland?
How many eruptions have occurred during the current recorded period?
There is no evidence for a correlation between vulcanism and current warming. Volcanic eruptions happen all the time and many are simply not noted because they happen in unpopulated areas. There is no trend which accounts for current warming.
If you're good at research and you've lots of experience in it, surely you can find the answers to these questions somewhere other than an internet discussion forum. If you have a point to make, why not just make it instead of asking questions in a way that looks like you're trying to set a trap?
