How can two well educated people be so clueless about money and what they can afford.
I think they come across as a sound couple. Best of luck to them.
I hate the brick, really think it looks misplaced alongside the new changes.
They seem like a nice couple, wish them the best.
It's a lovely job in the end. If they got that for 220k then fair play to them.
Nice house
I like the couple, not one bit obnoxious, no airs or graces about them. House is nice. They are happy that’s the main thing.
Lovely house. Credit where credit is due.
Yeah a lovely couple. They both come across as sound. Easygoing people.
God love them to lose a baby at 21 weeks, absolutely horrific 😢.
Don't like the kitchen, don't like those plywood style ones, very cheap looking.
Best of luck to them. They seem very happy with it and that is all that matters.
The stairs, absolutely terrible wood finish - looks unfinished by a leaving cert student.
Fair play to them. Must be a great feeling for them to be settled with their family into a great house like that
Budget concerns but a home gym. Great stuff.
Grants galore for everyone
you're judging someone you don't even know , based on a few shots on a TV programme. Maybe she works on her appearance for confidence reasons, but she doesn't need a reason anyway. She is clearly a lovely person. She has lost her mother and her baby in a short space of time. None of us know what anyone is going through. Its too easy to be jealous and to judge when we actually know nothing.
Nice house, spectacular location
The figures didn’t seem to add up with what the QS was saying at the end - but what do I know…not a lot tbh!!!
Lovely genuine couple, lovely house...(apart from the red brick)
Wishing them all the best in the future...
They’re an absolute disgrace
I think Dermot said a lot of projects in this particular series are unfinished at the end due to budget reasons. Believe it or not most of these houses are pulled together at the end for the final filming, they are styled by the sponsors and many rooms aren't finished and often aren't shown . Most of what is in the rooms are placed there for filming (cushions, rugs, lamps, candles, throws) and removed afterwards. I imagine the stairs will be painted/varnished/finished in time
Whilst we don't know the in's and outs of their financial business fair play to them for having the confidence in putt nearly €700k into a house.
The programme chose to include an interview where she announced her pregnancy and later to have him explain the truly awful loss of that pregnancy.
While it was brave of the couple to share their loss with a television audience it felt exploitative.
On another note, would anyone pay a total of €635,000 for that house ?.
I just caught the end of the show and at a quick glimpse, it looked like something you wouldn't want to trip or fall on. Did it not have a rail or something to hold on to?
Im not sure I'd call it confidence, gullibility would be more accurate I think.
What ever it is. I wouldn't have it.
You'd have to expect that they will have had the ultimate say on whether or not that was included. As you mention, I'd say more brave than anything. It's something that even in this day and age often goes unsaid, with something of a stigma still there, so it's a real positive any time someone shares their story publicly I think.
Lovely job. Good luck to them.
Sorry, where did 700k come from?
Edit... The original purchase price
Jesus wept
On the side of a road outside Cashel. Absolute madness.
I missed the first few minutes, how much was the house bought for
