Sano got a very poor review in the examiner weekend supplement on Saturday.
Went to Coqbull. 15.50 for a burger with no side that was nice but I ate in about 5 bites. Another 5.50 for a not very nice portion of chips.
Service was very good and friendly but won't be going back
Absolute scummy
They had a food truck in Hanley's garden centre carpark with the last 6 months. Was there up to a few weeks ago anyway.
Surely they can be used in Blarney or the Marina? Are they still in Ballincollig?
What a lovely gesture, after decades of support from Cork customers. 😡
I assume they'll take the vouchers in their other outlets!
Maybe that's why people were queuing before they opened today, sneaky thing to do if they knew they were closing.
Saw a friend on Facebook saying they were still selling vouchers at Christmas why if they knew they were going.
Marina market I think!
Wasn't there a Tung Sing food truck set up in the carpark of Hanley's in the last few months? I wonder are they keeping that going?
From a customer's perspective, I thought that they were awful! Such bad food, so overpriced, I won't drop a tear for the company! Still, sad to see a recognised restaurant go in the city, I suppose (I hope the staff were treated well, and that they might find new work soon).
Out with the old, bring in the new!
To be honest, the one in Blarney isn't great. They have had the same filthy carpet for years. No money invested really.
Patrick Street.
Their Marina Market outlet will still be open so clearly they made a choice between the two. I'd imagine the stall is far less effort and costs to run.
Sad to see a long running business sucumb to the costs but honestly it's no loss to the restaurant scene in cork. Absolutely awful the last time I ate there
Phrased that wrong 😀
You weren’t clear on which one it was, that’s where the extra comments came from.
Already said
It is, they put it on Facebook a hour ago.
Patrick's Street?
If so, that's the longest running restraunt in the city.
Which one?
Tung sing is closing as well tomorrow.
Post reported ;)
Sad to hear about Pigalle but the last time I was there in September, I wasn't impressed. I was quite disappointed actually because the time before I really enjoyed it. The portions were really tiny and it was after getting very expensive. My friend had fish and the portion was miniscule, it was ridiculous. She should have said something but she didn't. I had a different fish dish and it was just ok, quite bland. I was just disappointed because my friends hadn't been there before and I was raving about it to them.
Shame about Pigalle, is this a decision to close rather than forced? Given it always seemed busy they could have increased prices rather than shut? I'm always happy to pay when it's good and I'd always found Pigalle good!
I just saw this news about Pigalle. Was only in there just before Christmas and it was excellent as always. Really liked that place. And they always seemed busy. I guess it's really difficult to make a restaurant viable these days. I really hope this isn't the first of many
I am distraught! I was only there last Thursday…again!
god I wonder why, it was always so busy. Such a shame. Wish everyone well…all the staff were fab in there.
And I never got to try there... 😫
Just saw on Twitter that Pigalle have announced they are closing! I know there were a few fans on here.
