I've had a coffee to take away and sat in on Friday afternoon when they first opened. Nice coffee. Wasn't overly impressed with the menu, bit basic and the portions we had were very small. It seemed very bare in there too, very few tables, they could do with filling it ab it more. It was the first day so I'm sure it will change and improve.
I've eaten in Brio Brunch twice now and I've been very impressed both times. The food was excellent and the service was very good. Hopefully they can make a go of it.
If you mean the housing estate off the Bracker O'Regan Road, that was granted planning by KCC but appealed to ABP by NIMBY objectors.
I've nothing against Muslims or drive tru fast food consumers, but isn't it typical of the country we live in and the chronic lack of housing when planning is granted for a Drive Tru takeaway and a mosque and is not granted for a housing development.
yeah, could use the old road down to it!
They'd almost be better making a 5th exit off the main (Clashlehane?) roundabout that would then feed directly to the Bookshelf/Mr. Price/Soundstore retail park. I agree turning right out of The Bokshelf is virtually impossible and dangerous such are the traffic volumes!
yeah usually what I do now. Wonder how many accidents there have been there!?
It's bad but if you are coming from the bookshelf, just turn left and go around the roundabout and come back.
They just block each other's prosperity, those shopping complexes are like forts, and they'd use cannons if they could. 😛
I'm sure you're not saying our esteemed business class are a bunch of small minded individuals who would block the towns prosperity. I won't mention M&S and Leibher.😀
I've always thought that with there being different owners of the properties on either side of the "stream", they don't want to make it too easy for people to support businesses on a different landlord's turf. I could be completely wrong of course, but I wouldn't put it past them. 😛
If one landlord owned both sides, I'm pretty sure that something would be done about the problem. 😁
That Manor junction near the Bookshelf is a joke. Something needs to be done about it. No one can get out from the bookshelf junction and the one to the other side of it. It puts me off going in around there. especially on busy days. I don't know why they can't improve it.
Only solution, imo is to close centre of road between roundabouts @ kcc and manor west entrance. hence left only on exits from aldi side and mcdonalds side.As poster says create second lane going into town for mcdonalds queue
There Seems to be a Yoga studio going in next to it as their signage is up there (Flx Yoga) and the coffee shop in the main part where the glasshouse was, Bio Brunch its called, found it on Facebook
Looks like it could be opening very soon.
I was going to go today, but I improved a bit so didn't feel the need to. Good to know its there for another time if needed.
Yes, used it last week, lovely and empty which is probably not their plan but it's new! I have used Manor before and happy with that too but took a chance that this place would be quieter as too sick to be sitting around for ages and chance paid off! They also have introductory offer of 35E until end of Jan when it's going up to 40E to match Manor obviously, they are 50E in Athlone where they don't have competition.
Has anyone used the new walk in doctos clinic in Princes Street or hear anything about it?
I seem to remember Starbucks having a long hard fight to get their place open, and I imagine that KFC's fight will be a lot harder. The hotel would probably have to be demolished to give them more room. 😛
If I'm looking for fast food, I go to Burger King to avoid traffic jams.
That appeal will never succeed. Those houses will be built there.
Rock on with your racism elsewhere please. Further ranting in the same vein will lead to a thread ban. Mod.
You have a lot of waking up to do and fast.
Descendants from the blasket islands I guess?
Why not? It's only a slightly different flavour of doolally to all the churches currently in town.
Probably the one up in Strand road, not sure of prices though. You could also use the large ones up beside Spar in Oakpark.
why not? They have been planning to build one for a long time now.
Lots of Muslims here.
Why is there a mosque being built in Tralee?
Super king duvet for wash and dry where best reasonable launderette in town? TIA
The development at boherbee is being appealed as well
That large housing development of around 250 homes planned for off the Fat Mile has been appealed to An Bord Pleanala by local residents concerned with the increased congestion it'll bring.
