With regards of full payment: would you normally wait till you have an actual collection day?
I'm same on app (18th Jan - 2nd Feb) but I already received bank a/c details for transfer yesterday.
My thought is people usually wait?
Wait a few days before. You need to have paid before either you get a collection slot or a week or so before
They seem to have no structure in communicating with people. Some get texts, some emails, some calls.
I got a text today saying to finalise the pre-delivery tasks and that I should have already received the SEAI form separately which I haven’t.
Question for all the people being asked to transfer money to Tesla, I assume everyone who is being asked for this is paying in cash?

A year on for me since i got MY LR, it’s more accurate to track the shipping , especially RORO from zebrugge to Dublin port. Add 2 weeks onto that for start of deliveries .
i ordered RWD on oct 22, delivery estimate jan -feb 23
ordered LR in Jan 23, delivery estimate Feb 23
All deliveries started 1st week in March , i jumped on a fire sale LR for better price and picked up 5 days later on 20th March .
again i was able to track the cars i ordered via the shipping manifest using VIN.
Any idea how to search the ship by vin? How do you know what ship a car is on?

Just checked the app and my DD is 17th Jan - 1st of Feb.
Received the SEAI form to sign by email today. Have received nothing else - NO VIN number assigned yet. App still says Jan - Feb 2024.

Does anyone know what the story is with battery charging after collection? Would the ionity near the Kill exit of the N7 be the closest fast charger if the battery is too low to get back to Dundalk?
There's an Ionity at City North, on the M1. You should easily make that from Baldonnell. If they give you free supercharger kms, then Castlebellingham should be reachable. Most cars now seem to come with 50%+ charge.
I collected in September with 20% charge. (As had the lady beside me collecting hers) Made it to sandyford with 9%

Are Tesla doing deliveries in Cork now? I saw a truck load of them heading out the N25 this morning - presumably to the Carrigtohill showroom?
Could just be show cars maybe? I hope they do, it would be much handier for me.
Full double stack truck of them. Hardly all demos etc I'd think? I might drop in and ask tomorrow if passing.

Not yet. There is LHD one there on display but they are awaiting arrival of cars for Test drives .. should be shortly...most likely they are awaiting like all the new purchasers and cars will be on the same ship
Yeah we collected in march 20%. Made it to wicklow with 11%
Has anyone any idea what carrier will be moving the cars from Zeebrugge to Dublin?
The Seine Highway is on the way to Zeebrugge, and is due to arrive there on the 7th Jan, but I'm not sure if that's going to be the carrier back to Dublin.

Popped into the Cork showroom and they say deliveries to Cork are now available, and have actually been happening for a month or two! Trucked down from Baldonnel.
That’s great to hear, do you need to tell them that’s where you want to collect or do they automatically choose it based on your address?

I’ve emailed my delivery advisor to request to change my collection point to Cork. I’ll report back what he says.
Of course, while that chap told me that today bear in mind that it seems most Tesla employees just make stuff up so you go away! So the reality could be anything from 'deliveries in Cork's to 'Tesla are withdrawing from the Irish market'!🤣
Having said that, there were some unregistered cars around the side.
Plus of course - surely they would charge up Cork cars as they have a bank of chargers? 100% on collection in Cork would be a lot better than 20% in Dublin!
