For context with all the comparisons to last year. RTE had a farm weather report, I think it was Sunday, where they indicated that the top half of the county, north Wicklow across to Galway and up, only had about 50% of the expected amount of sunshine for December, which would tie in with a lot of the lower returns this December compared to last December.
Evening all, two quick questions. I have a 50kVA transformer on site, is it possible to export up to its max capacity or do ESB networks have set limits for Solar export? Secondly, how long should the inverters last? Thanks again
A poor end to the year and well down on last Dec.
South Roscommon, 8.16Kwp, facing 210° at 35°, 9.6kWh battery
Total generation 158kWh (prediction at 202.9kWh, last year 261.6kWh)
Consumed 982kWh (doing all charging of battery and EV at night rate).
Energy from Grid 898kWh
Energy to Grid 54kWh
To the Eddi 0kWh (oil heating doing the water)
To the Zappi 653.80Wh
To the Battery 253.10kWh
From the Battery 240.60kWh
Best day 4th with 19.6kWh
Worst day 6th with 0.5kWh
Energy exported would have generated €12.96 at Energia FIT rate if on a smart meter, we are D/N.
Produced 72.7 kWh off 3.2 kWp system in Cork (2.0 SW, 1.2 NE).
I Realized I never posted my November stats so both Nov & Dec below, they are very poor due to my location being on the North Side of a wooded hill, severe shading kicked in around mid Oct killing my stats, don't expect to come out the other side of that until mid March.
My Setup:
7.74kW (18x 430w panels) 9 panels South / 9 panels West in North Waterford, slope I think is around 40°, 5kW Huawei Inverter with No Battery

You know things are bad when the best day in Dec is 2 days away from shortest day of the year 😂 Roll on March...

Solid enough month. 6.5Kwp split E/W in South Dublin city. Production works out at 14.58kWh per 1Kwp.
107% of PVGIS forecast - which is always nice to see.
Now that Nov, Dec & Jan are behind us......it's all guns blazing until end of Oct :-)
185kwh from a 6.45kwp sse facing system. Pretty good month allowing for the amount of shading I get at this time of year in the afternoon.
103 kWh off 3.2kWp (2.0 SW & 1.2NE), good to be back in triple digits again! (Just about)
Can you get all this info from solis or do I have to extact it ?
those with solis can see the info in their app (day, month, year, total).
for the record (partial i may add) my 7.79kWp array facing due south produced 30kWh from install on the 27th to yesterday evening. tuesday 30th was a great day producing 23.6kWh. bring on february :)
Ah yeah I know that cheers, just thought there is a better way instead of adding up days etc...
112kWh January 2024,
Similar to last year where I got 117kWh
Brand new 4kWp south east facing system installed on the 19th Jan so only partial this month.
Total produced 41kWh.
Glad to be aboard!
Welcome :)

You don't have to add up the days. All you need to do is click on the year, select the relevant month (in this case January = 1) and then review the data above.

Best January since I had panels installed. Still in shading season
Buy and sell mix could be better, but we are not disciplined. Nothing to do here. ROI on additional battery is a bit too long.
And the bill estimate for Jan will be well covered by credit.
Approaching 2 years now, with no payment for electricity 😜. The government handouts have been covering the bill.
395 kwh Generated for January.
9.9kwp South/South West/West in galway.
Nice return for January of €66 fit and €23.90 imported
