I do think it's possible that a good chunk of the band's fanbase are Trump supporters, but not for any special reason. Just that Trump supporters listen to music the same as non-supporters of his do. I can imagine them appropriating various songs of the band in a way that was in no way intended, originally. Like, them in their car singing along full-throated to Minority, thinking that 'your moral majority' refers to CNN and MSNBC, etc.

I don't think Trump will survive til the election. Not saying he'll be assassinated or anything like that, but for an old man, he's unfit, mentally and physically and must be under enormous stress.
It would probably be the best result for the GOP. He can be held up as a martyr, the Dems can be accused of hounding him into the grave, and the GOP should (but they won't) dissolve the MAGA fanaticism.
Wouldn't confine it to MAGA. Any populist movement relies on falsehoods/antiscience/data that can be easily swallowed by those who lack critical thinking skills founded by a basic education. Quite easy to spot here for example when a trumpette spouts something yet when they're pressed their argument crumbles or they just childishly ignore the counterpoint as proven by our favourite 'centrist'
