There seems to be a new betting shop opening up in Bridge street in the old Jasmine unit.
There is also a Let sign gone up a couple of doors up from it in a unit that's been empty for a long time. It will be good to see units fill up in at street again as its pretty bad.
I popped down to the Christmas market this evening. Good crowd down there, nice atmosphere. Luckily the weather wasn't bad.
Was down there last evening. Really nice, good crowd & singing from the kids. Weather wasn't great & it's a pity they had to cancel today due to the storm.
Well done to all involved. Lights in the town also look fantastic for Christmas.

There looks to be a new Japanese restaurant going into the old Denny Lane unit just off Denny St. Not sure of name, but could be the one that's in Killarney?
Super news. Hopefully they'll do take away and be a replacement for toba.
The James Hotel Facebook page said its bar (O'Carrolls Bridge Lane bar) is now open. The video of it looks fabulous. I'll have to try it out over Christmas! With Vals, SeanOgs and McCaffreys alongside it that strip has become the new night-time destination of Tralee.
For such a narrow street, it'd be lovely if it was pedestrianised but I think it's too important a traffic artery for the town to block it off...
Tere is another new bar there as well in the middle of them ,is it called Mae's bar
That's really just another room off McCaffreys with a distinct external frontage. Technically McCaffreys also interconnects with SeanÓgs too at the rear but they are stand alone bars for the most part.
That new Japanese restaurant will be called Kyoto, so not linked to the Japanese restaurant in Killarney.

You're really doing your due diligence there!😜
Thanks 🤣
It would be great to get some good sushi in Tralee. Hopefully there is a market for it, medium well steak and chips is about as adventurous as most Tralee people seem to get unfortunately.
Unless there's a side of chips with curry sauce to back up the sushi they won't last long !
If they can replicate Yamamori in Dublin , I'd go.
The chances are that it's related to this place in Limerick:

Happy Christmas to all and enjoy the festive holiday. Keep safe
Happy Christmas!
A bit over enthusiastic, are you ? 😜😜
sorry not cheery enough for you??
we are not all fans of this time of year.....
I was just thinking 2 days ahead of schedule. All I get is a vastly reduced wallet and a half day of cooking which is eaten in less than an hour.
Is it summer yet ?😁
The Burger Shack seems to have been rebranded & now called just 'The Shack'. New logo and signs outside the premises.
Makes sense...they offer more options than just a regular chipper. I like the new colour scheme...looks more like a diner!
I’d say they had to try something to bring customers back. The service there now is shockingly bad and the prices are extortionate. Food is still good to be fair. Went once this year and said it would be the last time. My father went a couple weeks ago and said the exact same thing. Rarely see the car park full like it used to be.
It looks like a new business is going into the Glasshouse unit beside Lidl! Some work going on in there at the moment.
Happy New Year, Tralee!
That's some good news.
i do say if I was in tralee m j s up near the roundabout at clash would be my choice for bit to eat
Saw some tables being assembled there before Christmas & chairs being brought in.
I'm told it's a new pilates studio/coffee shop
