Thanks Gumbo. I forgot sbiut the granny charger.
Thanks Mantis. I don't know what a Garo switch is but none of the fuses tripped
Hi Mojomaker,
Do u have a pulsar wallbox, the blue light on the box is not flashing anymore it's static, any ideas?
Might not help but my zappi would trip the fuse every now and then. Reduced the amps in the Tesla app from 32 to 30 and haven't had a problem since - might be something to consider if it becomes persistent.
Ok thanks
A handy feature with the new update 44.30.5.1. You can now open the charging door when car locked, providing you have phone in your pocket. Just press bottom of charging door. Saves opening up app, or opening car door.
Just read on FB, but not mentioned on the release notes.
That’s there a long time, not part of latest update.
OK Thanks, hadn't noticed it before
Wow looks like a different car really goes well with white.
i was looking at these too for new Highland model 3 but unfortunately lose a noticeable amount of range 8%? over the standard 18”.
It was my one regret when buying, go for the 19's. Range loss is negligible. The 19's on the highland are gorgeous too. There was one in Cork recently, beautiful in the new grey.
If you have a light "static blue" the unit is receiving power and it is not a tripped fuse. Attached below is a list of what the various lights (colour, static, flashing etc) mean. You say a solid Blue but might this be turquoise? If so it means the unit is in standby mode/ready to charge. Might it be that you have inadvertently set the charge time on the car or mobile app to start at a particular time. If that is the case your car wont start charging until the set time. Worth checking it out (Go to "Schedule" on your mobile app and see if Scheduled Charging is switched on)
Best of luck
When heating up the car before leaving does the battery also start to pre condition?
Yeah.

Cheers, so if I'm doing this 4 or 5 times a day for every time I'm driving the car it's probably not great for the car long term.
It’s simply using the car as it’s intended…. Work away and warm up the cabin every time you want…. Chances are you’ll only be doing it 5-10 minutes before you leave anyway…. And that’s barely anything in terms of battery heating…
If Tesla allow you to do this, then there's no issue. Their battery management system is all about preserving battery health.
Recent reports state that "Tesla battery degradation is not accelerated by frequent Supercharging", so warming your battery frequently is probably going to have next to zero impact.
Are you using the Tesla branded key?
Well, if it’s any consolation, I only ever hear of issues with people using the Tesla oem usb drive.
From day one I’ve been using a Sandisc extreme ssd and touch wood, not a single issue.
I installed a cam cover over the inside camera last weekend. Had a decent drive from Dublin to Galway yesterday and it was a pleasure. The car wasn't a ball ache with warnings about where my eyes and hands were. Hopefully that's the last of those shenanigans.
Anyone know this car? Three owners in less than three years. Hardly a great sign.
There is an owner on the FB group who has bought something like 5 new Tesla’s over the last 18 months or so….. and not because the old ones were lemons, but just because newer versions came out with newer features….
As Andy said above, also many changed after the price cuts as the BIK was worth it for the reduction.
On a short range I would not be too concerned - some people get themselves in a pickle if driving many long journeys and realise the long range is better. I think its more unusual to see many owners on a long range.
Either way they need to reduce the price by about 8,000 euro
Thanks for your input all.
Thanks Jol1 and happy new year. Static turquoise is right. I'll check the schedule.
221 M3 RWD boot strut failed, fitting on the driveway last week via Ranger, seamless process, waited about 3weeks for appointment
Could you use the boot after failure? Any other damage?
Good to hear was sorted reasonably promptly, considering the time of year.
Could use boot manually, after first "crank" it would be good for most rest of the day, was not a biggie for me to wait. No other damage...
Seems to be a regular issue. Spoken with a couple of sellers and they mentioned it had been done on 21 cars.
I had to get mine on my 221 M3 replaced at the start of December. The ranger told me that the new part is a revised model that shouldn't have the same issue, whether that's true or not remains to be seen.
