Installation started on my MY now.
Some nice new features alright 👍.
The red warning is pretty cool.
I red that those with USS will have to wait a bit more to get this version. I'll be interested to see if any improvement on the EAP features like parking
I have this version and USS. USS cars don't get the 3D modelling for parking. Apparently, it's coming later. I'd imagine they'd probably disable the USS like they did with the radar modules.
I have USS and my update said it’s there. I’ll check it out this morning.
is the 2023.44.30.x the one that have the new "recall" where autopilot get shut off for a week after 5 disengagement?
The release notes for my install stated this - 2023.44.30.2
After 5 forced disengagements, so each disengagement is after the multiple audio and visual warnings to apply pressure to the wheel.
Anyone willing to set me up with a couple of ready to go lightshows? I have tried to download myself from TeslaLightShare but I am obviously missing out on something - first the car did not recognise the USB. Next time, the lightshow showed in the menu and when I went to play it - there was just a bit of a boom out of the speakers, windows went down and that was it - had one disappointed 10 year old on his birthday!!
Very willing to pay costs for USB's plus time and postage.
PM if anyone can help🙏
Where are you based?
Are you part of the Tesla Owner Ireland group?, there was a light show meet up there last week, some files were uploaded so everyone uses the same. You should be able to get a copy of that to try.
I had similar issues in my M3, even following the FAQ very closely.
Resolved it when I renamed the downloaded files lightshow.fseq & lightshow.mp3 and it worked perfectly.
lightshow.fseq
lightshow.mp3
Any MY owners thinking of getting a caravan for the summer? Check this video out from Reddit yday - impressive!
Can anyone advise how to get a ranger out and if there is a cost? Our Model Y has done 13,000km and as far as I can tell is only due to have tyres rotated. I tried to book a service via the app but it was not giving me an option to have a ranger attend. We live in Mayo and would rather not drive to Dublin for a service. Thanks
Any tyre shop can rotate the tyres. It’s cheaper as well. You can toque the bolts yourself afterwards if they don’t do it.
Book the service in the app as normal. Tesla decide then if it’s a garage or ranger job behind the scenes and update the app from their side.
You can add in the notes section that your preference is for a ranger.
Or, you can rotate yourself or get any local mechanic with a lift to do it.
Thanks @Rusky rusky and @Gumbo. I think I'll head to local tyre shop. Do you know what a ranger call out costs?
When you're rotating tyres, what's the general wisdom?
Stick to the same side: driver's side front to driver's side rear
Cross-over: Driver's side front to passenger side rear etc.
I’m not sure but I read before about €45. Quite cheap for a non dealer task.
Make sure your tyre place use pucks.
Costs to rotate with ranger EUR53 .great value
Is there any real benefit in having tyres rotated?
Longevity of life, yes
Think it's mainly for ice cars.
Your local tyre centre would surely do it for less than €53
More like €20.
There're multiple ways but if they are directional tyres then I just swap back to front.
Ring around your locals and post back the names and prices they quoted.
I have locals that fit tyres I buy online and they charge €20 a corner.
for rotation it’s takes about 30 mins lift time. Most I know will charge 40-50 for rotation for the time/labour.
Id do it myself if I had a car that required it.
Would you mind sharing the name of the garage @Gumbo ? Even via DM if you don't want to name them publicly. Cheers.
No DM required.
I posted their details before.
Campbells Garage in Dublin 11. Beside Royal Canal Park.
First decent drive today since the holiday update, and the S3XY buttons update, in a MY RWD.
The updated autopilot was fine to be honest. Steering wheel sensitivity seemed the same as always. Did notice if I was looking away from the windscreen for too long it flashed up a warning, which is fair enough. It does give a few seconds before the warning comes up.
Lane change on autopilot with S3XY buttons update is fantastic! No more having to re-engage autopilot when pulling out to overtake. Worked very smoothly, and was glad to see that the 'blue steering wheel' notification comes up on the screen (not all S3XY buttons features do due to the way it works). Auto-wipers as usual were not great, so handy that they can be turned off while on auto pilot, which was the main reason for buying the buttons in the first place.
Im usually onto of latest features, but what is the 'S3XY buttons update'? Updated mine yesterday and did 100km round spin can't say I noticed much bar driving information on the bottom right now.
