Today like I said is a day of celebration. Not only did 3 russian fighter jets take a dive but the Dutch have publicly announced 18 F-16's to Ukraine.
Like Gatland says this isn't a wonder weapon game changer but it's a badly needed step in the right direction and sets a precedent for more to follow in future. It's also another laughable red line crossed.
My hope is they'll have over 50 in the next 2 years. And a combination of different fighter jets. That last box to be ticked are attack helicopters. After that they've received nearly everything they need but it's about quantity thereafter and receiving enough.

Sure it would clear up the thread for those of us who just want a place to check how it's going, the reality is that some on here are narcissistic and a separate thread wouldn't feed those needs, reality is that most will read the first few words and last and skip as it's a separate issue so a separate thread where you can bang off each other point scoring is appropriate, might not be enough views for your needs but people will be unfollowing this one as it's just a rinse and repeat at the moment .

The article is paywalled, but let me guess they quote a figure of ~40 years old for a Ukrainian solider, up from the prewar figure? This is after conscription when they conscript males between the ages of 27 and 60... of which the average age would be 43. Which tends to tie in with the average age of Ukrainians of 43.
