Nice one. Photo of the install? Welcome to solar PV :)
For shame. 😂
Ah yes, I get you now. I had wondered could you dump your stored energy to the grid. The profile works for us in that we use the battery most days.
You think being a mod I'd have read the Forum charter, whoopsie. Post edited, thanks.
@Slaanesh, export is not a problem. The problem is dumping to the grid on demand.
That's a source of revenue for some here as they buy at a cheap rate and sell for full FIT when they are happy they won't need it. An empty battery by charge time. AlphaESS consider this a power supplier company interface, not and end user one. Other that that niggle, very happy with the AlphaESS. Active home assistant community, and an open API.
Pretty much all your grid consumption was in the small hours, so I assumed a big battery.
Btw, You are not allowed to mention supplier names here, might want to edit that out
Hey,
I got 10.1kWh of battery, the load shifting is working really well, especially this time of year. I went for the extended warranty on the inverter, 10 years now in total. The installer didn't mention anything about export causing issues with the warranty. They were in and out in about 5-6 hours and that included taking down my chimney! Really good experience so far, just waiting for them to do all the paperwork for the grant.
The inverter actually switched on today. One of life's small victories
@Slaanesh, Great yield. You'll be flying in 8 weeks or so. I managed 1.4kWh with shading. How much battery did you get? Looks like about 25kWh.
Sadly you cannot dump to grid with the AlphaESS without messing up your warranty. Otherwise I expect you to be up there with unkel in maximizing the saving and earning potential.
Nice, not bad for this time of year. You’ll be humming in a few weeks.

Welcome!!
5.7kWh today. System is only in a week! 7.7kWp, S/W, Navan.
.97kwh. 👌
1.2kWh . Galway, 6kW array SE/SW
Something for Santa to hitch the reindeer to
True, well I've got upto .9 so should be enough to keep the inverter powered!
Now today is brutal 0.84Kw.
Don't forget the primarily purpose of solar panels in Dec is to keep our roof tiles dry :)
0.2 today 😕 off 6kwp sw/ne split.
Very good to be fair. I've 6.5Kwp (also setup in exactly E/W) and I managed a paultry 2.5kwh yesterday (19th)
4.27Kw off a 6.51kw Clare(East west) not too bad i suppose
4.3kW off 3.2kWp Cork (2.0 SW, 1.2 NE), Steep roof and no shading helps this time of year with a small system
That beats mine!
3.8kW on 8kW E/W Galway
1.8kwh in Cork. As good as it gets for me now due to shading.
1.6kWh yesterday off 6.6kW array (4.6SE/ 2.0NW) - Mayo.
3.9kWh today.
This month last year a lot of 9+kWh days. Not one so far this December.
4.3kWh . Galway, 6kW array SE/SW
2.1kWh today. South Dublin. East West arrays. 3.8kWp.
