I see they are once again recruiting prison officers
My question is if you where going for the job is it worth doing the Prison Officer online course in advance,
Has anyone done it was it helpful ?? or is it a waste of money ,
Anyone if there is anywhere we can go to brush on interview skills . ?
Id go for prison officer there is far less resignations . Job of Garda is not what it once was and id know i was one.
Yes from the email before xmas it said interviews for first batch will be late jan early feb which suggests that there is no roleplay but who knows they are constantly chopping and changing .
You won’t know batch till they email with interview or role play dates ect.
iv been through the process it’s a really slow process and order numbers don’t really mean anything

Late 300’s very good too. Honestly 500 staff is needed with all the retirements. Interview next and it’s a matter of learning your competencies and you be fine. Looks like role play has been axed if going strategy to interview

Dont say your exact oom num guys and gals you are identifying yourself. Be carefeull.
Even if your number is 800 you will still be getting a call. Maybe be later than expected but you will eventually get the call. 153 is an unreal number you’re probably batch 2
Ye I got a message there giving me a batch number of 153
i wonder how many they call per batch? Would anyone have past experience of understanding the batching?
I suppose it comes down to how many applied also?
153 is quite high I feel so could be a while before being called for interview stage

The email didnt mention anything about that about roleplay exam so maybe its not on. It just said their would be interviews in Jan/Feb.

No nothing, when you read through the test information booklet said results would be early December but with the deadline pushed out I’m sure will be mid to end of December before we hear anything
