Out of interest how come Windsor Park is not used for concerts ?

Won't mention the war but if that Stadium is actually built it could make great revenue from concerts etc

I never said there was a boycott I said the only thing that looked odd was the lack of big name female comedians, I happen to think the boycott story is also bullshit and the lack of big name female talent is more likely down to mcd and aiken wanting them to sell out shows in dublin first and foremost

Often wondered that myself. I presume, with the capacity, it's easier just shoehorning the gigs into boucher with a bigger attendance.

I'm also looking forward to the new stadium to *hopefully attract other artists

Damo is annual tradition at this point

Windsor Park don't have an outdoor entertainment licence so can't hold gigs there. They'd have to apply to the council and satisfy a lot of crowd safety requirements for it to be approved if an application was made.

I'd be confident enough that the new Casement would get a licence sorted asap once it's built.

Passenger and Glen Hansard announced there. Think Pillow Queens are great and Damo annual fixture alright. Does seem the same acts have done the rounds of various outdoor gigs and festivals so is getting fairly samey though

He didn't specify musically and with that there is just a ton really, which obviously plays a huge factor in the current state of things.

Musically though hardly worlds apart, voices different stylistically but both playing a form of alt pop that is thematically similar.

Both artists have a key single from same producer/guitarist fella even.

Olivia is echoed by critics to be more rock but to me she isn't rock enough some tracks obviously touch the periphery that's about it.

Can't claim to know anything about their live shows whatsoever.

He had to get a new site for the Marquee so maybe that delayed things but that seemed to have been on the cards for a while. Maybe there was some last minute negotiation around cost of rent or something. He had planned to announce acts at start of November so delays may have been out of his control. Would have expected him to try to capitalise more on pre Christmas demand if he had the choice but all that is speculation.
