Just found the above chart backing up what I have been saying for years.
Global warming is a wholly natural event, if humanity disappeared tonight, global warming would still happen.
Hmm,
So humans were responsible for there being almost twice as much CO2 in the atmosphere 100 million years ago?
You do realise that is the most recent thinking on why the Dinosaurs were so large?
More co2 means you need larger lungs to intake more air,
Larger lungs need a larger body to house them in.
Paleobiology has much more experience in atmospheric conditions during the past 5 hundred million years, maybe you should ask them??
Geological, a supercontinent was breaking up at the time which drastically altered oceans and resulted in an increase in CO2. You know climatologists are aware of this and it's not a gotcha?
Yeh
But how many actual scientists are pushing the climate agenda?
It's more activists than scientists, remember how people reacted when El Nino was recognised.
Why don't you define 'the climate agenda' because that's vague. And then give the numbers you think are pushing it, and break down 'activists' vs. 'scientists' and how you define 'actual.'
Because scientists have been warning of the hazards of increased CO2 levels since Keeling (an actual scientist, doncha know), in the 1950's.
The vast majority do
Additional studies here. So the scientific community are pretty unified on this.
https://climate.nasa.gov/faq/17/do-scientists-agree-on-climate-change/
You've also moved the goal posts entirely cause there's a well known reason for the high CO2 during that period.
The "its natural" argument that is just hand waving. What natural process exactly is causing global warming - be specific now as vague "its natural" statements get us no where.
The reality is that the natural drivers of climate were in the process of returning us to an ice age before we stopped the gradual cooling trend. Nature isn't causing global warming - quite the opposite.
So you agree our management is causing it?
Human management of resources.
Bio diversity loss
Agricultural practices such as ploughing, tiling, spraying, fire
All leading to bare ground
Odd,
Considering that the global temperatures have been rising for the last 8'000 years at least,
Look at countries like Egypt, tropical rainforest to desert in 2 thousand years,
That doesn't really sound like a cooling process to me!.
They have not. After the post glacial rebound of temperature they set into a steady decline.
The creation of the whole Sahara region was not because of warming - it was because the monsoon that once made it to the Sahara shifted pattern and it stopped raining across the whole of North Africa. It had nothing to do with warming.
The Sahara was created by agriculture and the hunting & killing of animals for thousands of year’s.
Evidence of that can be seen all over the world that in those environments of seasonal rainfall, when animals are taken away, over time the land starts to turn to desert.
Rubbish.
If the monsoon still came to North Africa it would be lush grassland.
The last time it was lust was in the ice age when the climate was entirely different to what it is today.
Maybe,
All depends on how that land is managed.
You can keep pushing this but the science does not back the Savory Institute... It's basically a fantasy solution.
Nothing will return the Sahara to productive grassland short of a new ice age, which isn't going to happen because of man made global warming.
the science is sound behind it. And more & more people are doing that direction.
Just not your science.
Peer reviewed science doesn't back it and the "institute" avoids the process. This is because they're known for exaggerating results.
Well the people actually doing it are saying very different thing’s .
Where exactly is the science wrong?
People say homeopathy works, just because a person says something works does not equal it actually working. One example is misleading claims about carbon sequestration. Savory claims it's not possible to prove it with "empirical science", he does so because the results are not replicable. Ergo it's not scientific, the scientific method simply doesn't work with it.
Well the results wouldn’t be replicable would they, there’s gonna be different results for every different approach & system.
But in your opinion, Why doesn’t it work?
When people practicing it saying it does.
Something scientifically proven is replicable. Agricultural techniques have some degree of replicable result.
When Animals & land are managed holistically the result all over the world is an improvement of the land & biodiversity.
You want more of the burning, Spraying, ploughing, conservation of the land? That’s the current scientific advice being giving. Because the results I’m seeing of those method’s isn’t good enough.
The last time it was lush was only 7 thousand years ago.
Quite a bit After the last glaciation.
And, of course, when left up to people who really like fossil fuels or take money from that industry, nothing will happen:
"Why the ‘historic’ climate summit was just a publicity stunt "
Embedding links not working too well on Boards today. Along with this editorial, there was the story that oil deals were being negotiated at the COP summit in Dubai - I mean, why not, all the playuhs were there and they don't have to care about how they're perceived.
Apparently 2500 industry lobbyists at this event, too.

This is a video explaining how animal impact on the ground (holistically managed grazing)
is helping to keep the environment’s in a better state compared with conventionally managed system’s.
Back to promo videos from the Savory Institute....
So….
https://royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rspb.2023.1345
Is the Royal society organisation proof enough for people that livestock are essential for biodiversity & healthy grasslands.
Healthy grasslands = healthy soil, healthy air & water & storing carbon.
Two thousand years ago/ Northern England/ Hadrians wall, and such was the climate that the Romans were cultivating grapevines (without greenhouses) 😮
The planet has always been heating up and cooling down, ice age followed by intense heat, followed by a moderate climate, then the cycle begins again, and again, currently we're in a warming up phase, although still not hot enough at the Scottish borders to grow grapes!
Its just the natural cycle of planet Earth 🌏
Anyone who has a basic understanding of ecology would have told you that - but its not what the Savory system you advocate is promoting.
Pointing to a random article isn't proof of the claims made by Savory and his oil/agri backers.
