I see someone speak of the "globalists" and just think they're speaking in heavily coded language. And from the Tweet:
Realists advocated Ukrainian neutrality to avoid war.
JFC: are people seriously that naive, or is their perspective that myopic, that they think playing geopolitical possum was gonna stop Putin's attempt to sieze the (checks notes) oh look, a resource rich country like Ukraine? They already stripped back their capabilities to appease Putin 8 years previously - oh but this time he'll treat us good if we supplicate even harder. 2014 was a blip; like Georgia, or Chechnya or or...
There was no "avoiding" this war - only if Ukraine refused to fight and opened the doors to the Russians. It's a remarkably perverse scenario when the leader of the antagonist state in this whole affair wrote a literal essay that might have been titled "Why I'd like to invade Ukraine", then con-artist talking heads or Boards' contrarians look and think, "maybe NATO?".
David Sacks, wow, well that mask didn't last long.
Thinly implied: "There must be a way we can to blame the US/West for Putin's imperialistic war of choice"
The result of a recent HIMARS attack on a Russian convoy
Looks like M30Ax GMLRS?
Reported as HIMARS. I saw a video of the attack. Will post if I come across it again.
Looks like russsian forces captured another intact Bradley fighting vehicle near Luhansk after it was abandoned by its crew

I see someone speak of the "globalists" and just think they're speaking in heavily coded language.
I see someone using the word and think they're about 4 or 5 pints away from hissing, ".... the Jeeeeewwwwwssssss!!" instead. Or no pints away from it, if it's in private with someone they trust.
Sorry I wasn't clear. That's precisely what I mean; it's a favourite word de jour for those liking to suggest 'de Jews are behind it all. It's very coded and popular among the American Right.
More oil burning
The russian mindset in a nutshell!
Reminds me of some people on here who live in a total separate reality,
Why not? What's your role in this? An apologist for rolling over & doing nothing??
Ukraine assassinate a defector deep in Russia
where do you see these lines? by the time this conflict is over, Ukraine will probably have to settle for a ~10-20% loss of land , and some arrangement where the remainder of Ukraine stays out of NATO perhaps , after that russia will have to rebuild what they took and they will be under economic pressure to start releasing men back to the civilian economy.
The lessons learned from this war will be that invading a country is painfully expensive with an asymmetry favouring defenders ie drone tech. Medium to long term, Russia has a demographic problem. Are countries in the habit of trying to materially expand with an ageing and falling population, while at the same time having all the resources just about every other country in the world can only dream of?
Russia getting land is a bit of a vatnik fantasy. They might get some if the sides get tired of the war, but what are they going to do with it? They'll have a hostile population and trying to keep them under control will take an enormous amount of resources. Russia's invasion is a colossal blunder, there is no win in it. They just haven't realised it yet.
Quote Furze99
: "Well, we should show a good example and start next week. Any self-respecting Ukrainian man here shouldn't need to be told. But if they do, so be it.
I'd hope their womenfolk would give them the boot up the arse first though. un-quote.
Well, Furze, seeing as you are so anxious to do something, why leave it to the women Furze? Why not take an active part yourself in booting any Ukrainian males of military age that you encounter up the arse, and telling them to go home and fight? Action speaks louder than words, being a well-used and proven saying.
Amazing they didn't get any number from Afghanistan etc, the Russians must be rank amateurs if they are only now getting their hands on a couple of Bradleys now
Maybe the Russians could ask themselves a few questions like, Why do all our neighbours that we have invaded and colonialised hate us? Why is the Russian world so unattractive that millions of our own population leave go to countries? Why do we live in a kleptocracy? Why do our neighbours want to join organisations that won't take them in like NATO, EU. Why are the only people that believe our propaganda idiots?

Have to be seriously desperate and/or thick to cover your truck in explosive reactive armour.
I presume if Russia did end up with any Ukrainian land most people there who are pro Ukraine will move out of there and Russia will just move in Russians or have a population who stay who are pro Russian.
Nobody else has taken any in combat,
But hey it happens unless your one of these types that denies everything
The Russians will call them refugees and send them east for their own protection and re-education
That's the thing I know Russia has lost a lot of their young male population but with all the Ukrainian children kidnapped most will be educated to love Russia and they will make up for the lost male population with this even younger population.
And it helps increase falling birthrates in Russia too , hundreds of thousands of children magically appeared in Russian homes where they didn't exist 2 years ago
A good read on the failed counter offensive, it seems the US and Ukraine are reading off completely different hyme sheets with the Ukrainians disregarding American strategic planning and input, while decrying the lack of western fighters jets and attack helicopters ,
US Senate votes 51 to 49 to block current aid bill which included $61 billion for Ukraine. Every Senate Republican voted to block the bill, plus Bernie Sanders. Republicans wanted more border controls implemented as a demand to pass the bill.
Very interesting read that.
That’s quite a sobering read it has to be said. That the Russians it seems were able to move their reserves around without much interference to areas of the front in order to blunt Ukrainian advances is noteworthy. Really does show that being on the offensive is nearly always a lot more difficult than defending, especially against a prepared front line.
Sounds like hell and a meat grinder for both sides east of the Dnipro river.
