Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
The ones that regular joes or Janes buy tickets to Coldplay, pink, Taylor etc are all pre sales but for alot of venues/shows board regulars go to are just general sales
The pair are good but flat in comparison to him taking along the Attractions/Imposters, etc. He’s also not shy about demanding top dollar for what is effectively an acoustic evening.
3,400. Kneecap about to go huge next year with an album and movie. Two Olympia nights almost sold out and they’ll easily fill the Galway Big Top. Could even do a second night I think.
Hadn't heard about the film. Fassbender in it no less. I could be proven very wrong by the time next summer rolls around so ha
might depend on the night but they were superb in NCH back in September.
Ethel cain in olympia
I reckon it will be Malahide if he does play here next summer.
I’d say he will skip Dublin next summer. Two summers in a row too much.
Malahide double capacity of RHK and RHK had very stacked support line up
I love Costello and have seen him with Nieve twice. Both nights very good but nowhere near as good as when he has the band with him and charging top whack for the duo is a bit cheeky I think.
Haven't gone to a gig in Olympia a while. Do they do 3 presales for a lot of the gigs there now? Or just the ones that might sell fast?
Much smaller venues is the trade off.
imposters last shows here we’re iveagh and bord Gais. Different atmosphere to seated vicar st show
POD having what looks like a 1 day festival on in Kilmainham on Saturday 8th June called In The Meadows. Tickets on sale 13th December at 9am.
It's the same weekend as Primavera in Porto so wonder could some of the same acts play it.
Mitski and Ethel Cain already playing here around then.
@Fanirish this is what I've been asking for.
Last time the meadows was played it was socially distance gigs from Dave Keenan Cmat etc over a couple of days.
Hoping this is a multi stage mini festival affair.
Anymore info or media links?
Edit: it's grand found it

Gonna hazard a guess I reckon King Gizzard as heads,
Will be interesting to see what kind of thing they're going for. Hopefully something similar to the 3rd day at previous FFs.
Theres a few acts at Primavera BCN that could be potential headliners. Primavera Porto is a little light on acts that could play that aren't playing eure, or played here last summer.
Maybe Vampire Weekend?
Would love to see Deftones get over for a gig. They were amazing in Vicar Street a few years ago.
I'm gonna guess The National as Pod booked them in the past for ATN festival and Ireland is suspiciously not on their tour schedule.
It'd sell tickets but I feel like it's a revolving door with the National these days.
Would love something with a bit more imagination. Maybe Beth Gibbons
That's the 'Boom' from the 'Youth Of The Nation'
Sorry couldn't resist
won’t be the national as they are headlining primavera Porto that night
primavera said that Vampire weekend are European festival exclusive to them
From the Primavera Porto lineup I'd most like to see American Football make an Irish appearance.
Heard it’s Irish headliner with Scottish band on support
Lankum with Mogwai?
It's Mogwai, Black Country New Road, John Francis Flynn and This is the Kit.
And then my excitement evaporated
And Lankum
Official announcement at 9:30 this morning
already advertised on Newstalk
Someone hit the GO button a tad ahead of schedule methinks
Classic haha
